Because it’s one of the greatest movies ever made. It is massively influential on movies made ever since. It’s 80 years old and has lines that are still quoted and have become part of common culture. If you have any interest in culture you should at least see it just to see how impactful it is.

In the realm of comedy the Stooges are massively influential. It’s not my cup of tea though I have seen (some) of their stuff. I would never say it’s “shite” or boring or not funny because I can at least appreciate the impact and influence and I certainly would not post opinions like that in a thread about the Stooges

No but unlike you I pick what I want to watch and Casablanca is not a movie I want to see, nor is Gone with the Wind. There's plenty I won't watch because it's not my cup of tea and I seldom watch TV. Mostly documentaries and occasionally a movie but the movies put out today are mostly shite.
Many thought the Walking Dead was good. I never watched it. I have no desire to watch a series that doesn't know when to end and the zombies looked stupid.

WTF does this mean? You think some one is forcing me to watch stuff? What I don’t do is look at something that ranked highly and decide I’m not interested or it’s “over rated” because it gets so much praise. I love movies so made it a goal to watch the entire AFI top 100. Some I love others not so much. GWTW is something i respect more than like for example.

Obviously everyone has their own tastes and interests. I don’t have interest in zombie apocalypse genre so I have never watched TWD or Last of Us, I also don’t comment on those shows.

SMH. It was great for a number of seasons. I quit when it got stupid. It’s that easy. I don’t regret watching the good seasons though.

I have tried to watch this series at least 10 different times throughout the years. I have heard so much hype about it but I thought it was extremely slow and boring and I haven’t gotten past the 4th episode lol
I want to like it so bad because I hear it’s amazing but it just does nothing for me
