We didn't see Kate there, either, but we know by her being at Jack Damon's club performance gig that she's alive after Rebecca passes.
There's definitely some curveballs still to come.

Someone edited together the flash forwards at Jack's cabin that Kevin had built.
I'd forgotten that they show Kevin with a wedding band, so the guesses that he's an enlightened single dude one with the universe can be eliminated.
Plus, we don't know for sure that Miguel is dead. We don't see Jack Damon at the cabin, and if Kevin's kids are around 12, then Jack is about 15 at that time. Hailey is likely with Kate, too.
To the best I'm able to figure out, the farthest forward in time they've shown is Jack Damon's concert in front of the huge crowd/arena, since the whole thing with Kate & Phillip + Toby & his new wife at the club was Jack's first gig.

Needed the Dad actor in it. He was never part of the wedding scene. Just a room scene where the mom mistakes her son for him.

I should not be this happy for fictional people to find love. Kevin has been through so much, he deserves it, and Sophie is literally the one person who can see it from bad to good.

Kevin & Sophie at the reception is absolutely up there. The only moments that I think might've been more powerful was Rebecca at the vending machines w/ the doctor in the ER after the fire and then Kevin's monologue on the football field at his HS, following the reunion.
Last night was good for the soul. The writers have put us through so much, it felt good to get a win.

So bizarre. My FB group is generally pleased, even the Madison fans, because it was so well done. Probably about 1/3 (those reddit folks!) are pissed because Kevin is "toxic" and she shouldn't go back to him. They think fairy tales are bad for women and nobody should ever want that. They make me
But the thing is...there has truly never been anyone else for the other. They just weren't in a place where they could be happy together till now.

I still have this episode on my DVR and go back and rewatch that scene from time to time . So good.
