It was a pretty good episode .
College Beth is probably my favorite flashback character of them all.
Also for the “ER “ fans out there.. I’d forgotten that Dr. Kovac was Beths dance teacher, glad she finally told him off there at the end for some closure .
Finally finding out how Kevin lost Sophie was a big revelation .. one that he brought in my second favorite episode of the series “#1” where he’s drunk at he high school reunion and relives his football glory days

I was annoyed with the twins/Thanksgiving story. Why didn't anyone say, "Hey, Kevin can take the twins at Thanksgiving because that holiday is important to the Pearsons, and Madison take them Christmas!" It just seemed so stupid that nobody voiced that. It also showed just how much each of Madison and Kevin care about themselves and not the other person.
It was a little too much Beth. But she is awesome. Great mother, wife, doesn't take crap, but is caring.

They said early on that he cheated on Sophie when he was out in LA, but we didn't know who it was with, etc. I thought for sure we were going to get that incident, particularly when they showed Randall go out to LA to visit him.

Also on last nights episode WHY did they tell Kevin about no twins at Thanksgiving at that moment. She could have just put him off and nodded.
Also the Becca teaching blind students music and the songs were awesome. The write ups in synopsis today say Becca accepts this alternative to access to her grandbabies.
I still say it was complete BS Kate cut off her mom from babysitting. Even Kate with memory loss is a good gramma. UNLESS we find out the hot BBQ was when Becca was watching them and not Toby?

Kate makes it super-simple to hate Kate. She is loathsome at every point where we see her throughout her life.
They went easy on her last night, showing how Kevin put her in an impossible situation by telling her that he cheated on Sophie.
Because of his selfishness, Sophie not only lost her husband, it also cost her her best friend. Teen/College Kevin is reprehensible, but IMO he redeems himself as an adult though his character growth & progression.

When Kevin told Kate he figured he was on his way to tell Sophie because he couldn't live with himself. But he was dumb as dirt telling Sophie Kate knew...
Hopefully they work it out as everyone has egos in movie making Hollywood. I get Sophie being pissed, but it is something I hope they overcome later.

Is this the last season for sure? Any spinoff shows like they did Big Bang Theory?

According to Dan Fogleman (writer/director/creator) TIU was always a 6 season arc that told a very specific story.
No spin-offs, no sequels.
Fogleman's also married to Madison IRL.

My grandmother got me addicted to the 'stories' years ago. She listened to Guiding Light on radio then TV. Victoria Newman's husband was just replaced with the former Josh Lewis from Guiding Light.

I guess last night's episode was a little better than the previous episodes of this last season of the show, but not by a lot.
I tired of Beth's story. I like Beth, but I want to get to the final stories of the big three and get this over with.
The Thanksgiving deal with Madison was just downright silly. She knows Thanksgiving is THE big holiday for the Pearsons. I agree she should have just said you take them for Thanksgiving and I'll take them for Christmas or Kevin should have asked that and they should have agreed. It will probably blow up into a big issue needlessly.
Madison's bf is a twerp. A goober. "I'm not going anywhere." Surely they could have written a better character and found someone better to play the character.
They seem to be paving the way for a Sophie return for all you fans who want her back in the picture.

That's exactly why he is perfect for the role. He is someone who nobody would ever think that gets a girl over someone like Kevin.
BLUF, Madison wants someone she won't have to compete with or for.
