Well the book seems like it explained their actions whereas in the show it made no sense.

Additionally while everybody hates on Nora I don't think Sean Astin's acting has been that great either.

i haven't read the books, but from the previous posts, they've done a horrible job of condensing the material into a series ... the wife basically murders the neighbor cause he hit their dog (though i didn't remember him saying that) ... and the cdc folks don't think the 7 ft tongue and new species organs are enough to convince folks some bad shite is on the way? ... unfortunately, i'm accustomed to watching something on sunday nights, so this is it ..

Okay, I have really enjoyed everything about this show so far, EXCEPT --- I find the dude going in the shed to be a little ridiculous. I mean I realize this is a sci-fi and the whole premise is ridiculous, BUT

I turn the surround sound on for this show and "Falling Skies". I can without a doubt tell you that instead of taking my belt off to whip someone's dog I would have run for my life. Dude walks up and chick comes out and looks like she just took a mud bath even though there is snow on the ground. To top it off the growl coming from the shed would put any of the Lycans from the Underworld series to shame.

And he is just going to go in and teach this dog, who sounds like it is about to bust out all four walls at the same time, a lesson ????

In the previews for this week they show the old man and Eph walking up to the shed like they know somethings up. Can't wait to see what happens with this. The show needs to hire the guy from the "Highlander" movies because there is about to be a lot of head-loss going on.

My biggest gripe so far is that the show never told us where the people went when they woke up from the morgue.

Old guy said they'd go home to their loved one's though they only showed that with the little girl who wasn't in the morgue.

It's too bad this show isn't more popular on this board.

So Goodweather kills two vamp things last week and Abraham still has to talk him into it at the beginning of this episode?
Also after IMDB'ing the show I see that the actor portraying Goodweather has been wearing a hairpiece for some reason. Maybe this is extremely Germans to some but WHY? Larry David must be outraged.

I liked this episode. The vampire that attacked the old folks home- was that one from the sewer?

It was made pretty clear when Eichorst visited Setrakian in jail that they knew wach other from their days in the Nazi death camp. I would like to see the series dedicate an episode to that, as well as the legend of Jusef Sardu and how he became the Master. I really enjoyed that section of the novel.

This show is really good, and I am strongly considering reading the book. One question though, is it one book with everything or a graphic novel a.k.a comics?
