The original clone wars series is actually pretty awesome. There are some legit dark moments in it, and you actually do get to see Anakin be a total badass.

This episode was one of my favorites. Just awesomeness

It's quite clear which of the two has more power. Anakin's flying skills are b/c he's so strong in the force. He was the best pilot in the galaxy as a kid.

He's the best pilot for sure, and it's a testament to his force strength, but I don't think it's enough where we're left thinking he outclasses Obi-Wan. All of Anakin's accomplishments above Courascant don't necessarily speak to extreme skill in the force either. Aside from the piloting, it just proved that Anakin was a master with a saber. The prequels just didn't highlight Anakin's skills enough. He wasn't half the badass that he was in the OT as Vader.

They had a great moment to portray this in the Anakin/Obi Wan final fight when they have the "force off". I think Anakin should have won that, pretty convincingly, but have another moment in the fight where Obi Wan clearly outwits Anakin, because that was his area of strength over Anakin. Just a missed opportunity IMO.
Yep, though none of the movies, especially the original trilogy, really showed force abilities to the level they should, except for really the Palpatine/Yoda fight. TCW had that moment when they are waiting for Padme's assassin to come, and Anakin can sense everything in the room and Obi Wan couldn't (how much of that was him just being a douche who knows), but at face value that is a moment that his force abilities had surpassed Obi Wan.

Obi Wan said that "he sensed it too" when Anakin suddenly turned to face him.

Right, but before then they were talking about why her sensor was off, and Anakin said something to the effect of he can sense everything going on in that room. Obi Wan questioned him on it that ability, but made it seem like he was questioning it because he couldn't do it so how could Anakin do it (how it came off to me at least).

My two questions:

1) Is she Luke or Leia's daughter?
2) Is Kylo her sibling?

There is something up with the poster. The way her staff and Kylo's saber align means something.

That's what I'm thinking right now. Maybe both of them come from a region that was devastated by war, and they had to adapt to survive. Kylo went dark while Rey went light.

I'm almost certain she'll turn out to be Luke's daughter.

In the expanded universe, I'm thinking that Han and Leia had a son that ended up going to the dark side. It's been years but I'm thinking his name was Jace. Abrams might have cherry picked EU.

Again, I've locked myself down pretty well and only watched trailers and stuff JJ has shown at conferences but the sibling thing makes sense. Kylo is not so much a fan boy but Vader's grandson and he wants to go that route. That kinda fits with Han telling her on the Falcon that the myths are true.

The poster kicked my theory about that into high gear.

The Anakin/Kenobi duel in ROTS was a tire fire the second that they started surfing on robots.

It is the same theme all through the trilogy: Less is more.

They should have grudge matched in one room rather than lava surfing.

Agreed. Obi Wan should have gone to Anakin thinking he wouldn't have to kill him and that he could convince him to leave with him. When Obi Wan gets there though, Anakin is now so delusional and lost that he can no longer be convinced of anything over power, not even his own loved ones and family.

Really the conversation between Padme and Anakin in the final movie should have been Obi Wan and Anakin's conversation. The whole love story was way too overplayed in the prequels. It shouldn't have been anymore of a factor than Han and Leia's relationship. Anakin and Padme's relationship should have been more like Michael and Kay Corleone's relationship. Starts off nice, but turns more and more abusive as the prequels go on, with him directly murdering her around the 2/3 mark of Episode III. Tell me this scene almost word for word shouldn't have been in the prequels (only with Padme lying about what happened to the kid): LINK

Instead of a punch, Force choke her to death. Don't just puss out.
