That was a badass episode. Can't wait to watch it again. Ivar looks evil as frick crawling around.

- who's been reigning while Rafnar's been away? Bjorn? Aslaug?

- I knew they were going back to England because they they've been working Wessex into the episodes even though there aren't really any Vikings there right now, and because King Egbert is such an awesome character.

- Is Lagertha alive?

- Excluding Ivar and Bjorn, not sure any of the grown version of the sons have the charisma to be a big part of the show from the little we've seen so far.

- The show flirted with going a little over the top a couple of times last night. Rollo and Ragnar jumping at each other had a cheesy ApolloRocky knocking each other down simultaneously- feel to it. Did anyone else feel that way? Also, Ragnar telling Rollo he looked like "a bitch" while funny, didn't seem to quite fit tone-wise.

I didn't get the Hail Ceasar thing.

I'm nitpicking and still love the show though and looking forward to the next 10 episodes. Anyone know when it continues?

I thought that was hands down the best vikings episode ever. Anyone know when this starts back up again?

Looks like Aslaug took the Queen role but Bjorn was the actual leader.

Agree. I thought Ivar was the high point, creepy, evil Ivar. The rest of it was pretty meh. Ragnar is beyond pathetic at this point, and his "I dare you to kill me" tirade fell pretty flat. At least he's detoxed by now.

BTW, Rollo must have had a great plastic surgeon. You can't see his facial scars from when the original Earl tortured him. I think about that every time they do a close-up on his face.

100% this. I didn't really care for that angle all season. Was a really good episode last night, though I will agree that I'm not sold on all his sons just yet. A few episodes next half of the season and I'm sure they'll be much more interesting. I trust the producers, so far they've put out a great series.

Power went out at my house for the last 5 minutes or so of the show. Anyone got a link for the episode?

There had to be something that lead to his demise. Rollo simply beating him at his best would take away from the legend.

I still want to, if I can, end it with the discovery of America, and at least one of the sons of Ragnar being there. There is talk of a spinoff series, which would be called Valhalla, in which we would have all the characters I’ve killed off meeting again.[Laughs]

That was good info. What do you think is going on with the seer? Is he finally about to die? Was he freaking because two Vikings were fighting against each other?

The Ragnar vision scene was also my favorite of the entire show.

Aslaug has just been sitting around drinking mead and wine for years not giving a frick while Bjorn has been trying to carry on his father's legacy. I hope Lagertha cuts Aslaug's heart out and feeds it Ragnar when they hook back up.

From the article posted, this is what I expect. It said Lagertha will do something shocking but you will say yea, she needed to do that.

I think she is going to find out what happened to little Siggy and avenge her by viQueen carving the shite out of her crying eyes, and we will all say, yea, she needed to do that...

It's not like ragner didn't blow her off for years and screw around on her while off at war.

Ragnar treated Lagertha shitty too, but look at how she handled it compared to Aslaug.

She pretty much forced Lagertha out and knew it. Ragnar was a womanizer but I think he absolutely regrets how he treated Lagertha early on. Look at his concern over her miscarried baby even all these years later. He loved her and loves her still IMO. Aslaug was just a way to continue to build his empire because he knew that Lagertha would likely not have anymore children.

ETA: Reality is these men were going on raids for years. I imagine it made it hard for people to remain faithful on both sides of things.
