Flocki will tell Ragnar about it since Ragnar saved him from drowning. Slut queen is going to be banished.

So has anyone figured out what Ragnar keeps taking?

Also, nice stand by Rollo. I'm happy for him.
What I dont understand is why some of the hundred ships didnt bank on the sides and attacked from there. It showed the sides of the river were flat and could have easily been beached.
Can't wait to see what Ragnar does in response.

Probably some mix of hallucinogens and opium. I don't know where she would be getting the opium, but hallucinogens wouldn't be that addictive. Possible hallucinogens in the region would be fly agaric mushrooms and maybe morning glory seeds. The Norse were notorious for eating amanita muscaria before going into battle. I even read somewhere years ago that they would sometimes drink their own urine to get a second high off of them.

Honestly, I think death would be a kinder out for him then watching him devolve into a tactless, sloppy opium addict. I'm ready for Bjorn to take over. I can't imagine his response being much when he can barely keep his shite together. I can't stand him like this.
Poor Helga.
I think Floki is beginning to assume the role as the blind man/seer in the village. That he has the "sight". That he is the heir to that position because of being in tune with the Gods. Hence the vision with Aslaug.
I also think this means the "Blind man" will soon die and as he told in his prophecy to Ragnar, Ragnar will also die with him.

All of this. I hope Ragnar gets it together. I can't imagine they will, but if they are flaming him out, I hope its quick. I don't like seeing him like this either.

I feel like them doping him up and making him sloppy is trying to set us up emotionally for his inevitable exit.

Floki is obviously some sort of God. I mean, he cures and bangs other people's wives through another persons body? Wtf is going on here?

I think it's just a vision. That Aslaug is banging Harbard, the traveller. That's the only way that scene remotely makes sense to me.
I think Floki is closer to the Gods than most. He's devoted to the Gods more than any of the other characters and even went so far as to kill Æthelstan because of his Christian influence over Ragnar.
There was also the scene with him and the Seer. IMO it almost came across like the Seer was picking Floki as his successor. I think Floki has a strong connection with the Gods.

Love how ruthless Count Rollo is!

you are correct in a pre attack ritual they would pee into a communal barrel after ingesting amanita muscaria and it would hasten the effects to become a beserkrer ( have to be nuts to drink that)

I wonder if they kill him off or if he rides off into the sunset with his new slave Tokyo Rose in the hope that he can return one day.

I think this is pretty spot on. They want us to realize he's not invincible so when they killed him off it doesn't come as a huge surprise. Although I think according the legend he's killed by King aella in Britain by 1being thrown into a pit of snakes, then Bjorn and Ragnar's other sons avenge his death by wreaking havoc.

Not happening. I'm almost positive it's her that he is drowning in the preview for this weeks episode. My thought is that he realizes how his tripping out 24/7 has caused him to lose what makes him great and he is going to put the blame on her for dulling his senses.

I disagree. I think he drowns her because she's run out of whatever it is. He almost got violent with her last episode when she wouldn't give it to him.

I noticed that too, but he gave her a look when he gets back to their destroyed camp. I'm not sure if it was a "I'm going to kill you for getting me on a 2 month long high" or if a thank you for keeping my sons safe". I took it more as "I'm starting to think I hate you".

So does anyone know whose severed head was next to Ragnar? Sorry if this has been discussed already. It kind of looks like "King" Harald's brother.
