Gotcha. I thought you meant that you went in thinking it was about Ranger training and had no idea a giant Alien Mech was going to attack.

understood, but i think it still changed the dynamics of them thinking they could have hope with guns down the road to ditching guns and making it a chase film.

The movie was entertaining. I just couldn't get over the figs in the Army Rangers.

I have no problem with chick rangers as long as they can meet the same physical requirements as their male counterparts have historically had to meet.

Maybe if she looked more like Vasquez from Aliens instead of an Ellen Page knock off.

I thought the twist was gonna be the aliens were man made. To me they felt more like futuristic mechs than extraterrestrials.
