He also played the pierced-up neighbor guy in Punisher (2004) and did a good job in that odd role as well.
It's definitely a high mark in my book when an actor has the range to do a good job playing someone weak as well as someone powerful (e.g., Ed Norton).

This is when I first noticed him. More people need to watch that movie, BTW.
And he was the prisoner in 30 Days of Night

Big fan of Ben Foster ever since Six Feet Under. Of course, he was also Eli, the retarded kid on Freaks and Geeks. Greatest role ever.

Ben Foster stole the spotlight. Killed it in that movie.

Yea the remake is really good. I thought the original was terrible but Im not really into old westerns unless it has John Wayne

Poor movie didn't get a proper shot because of a bomb on a plane and 9/11. It really is great, and fans of MIB should check it out.

We don't get many western flicks these days and this was a solid remake.
Probably isn't breaking news but if y'all haven't seen Apaloosa, The Proposition or The Assasination of Jessie James by the Coward Robert Ford you need to check them out. The latter being one of the best movies of the past ten years. Very creepy, slow take on JJ last years of his like. Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck kill it. Beautiful beautiful movie.

The Proposition is an all time favorite of mine in this genre. AOJJBTCRF was great as well. I second this post. I have no seen Appaloosa though.

Love this movie. The scene where Christian Bale is about to leave and tells his wife that he is tired of the way his sons look at him and that "I've been standing on one leg for 3 years waiting for god to do me a favor and he aint listening" is one of my favorites.

Appaloosa is a Ed Harris, Viggo Mortenson western. Ed Harris is a Kevin Costner like western lover. They seem to be some of the few guys wanting to keep westerns alive. Viggo is freaking awesome in this, as he is in most everything he does.
Its weird, but honestly, one of the things that held this movie back was the way they made Renee Zelweiger(sp?) look. Obviously shes not the prettiest girl in the world but she ain't the worst and at times looks good. But they made her so freaking ugly in this it was a distraction. Especially since the two guys were crazy about her. She seriously looked better in Cold Mountain as a ruff Tom boy than she did in this.
