As the show went on, I found myself feeling sorry for Jamie more than anything. Beth blames him for something he did as a 16 year old, when it was HER mess he was trying to clean up. And he did everything his dad asked him to, but John constantly moved the goalposts so nothing was ever enough.

Jamie isn't really detestable. He has been terrorized by his bitch arse whore of a "sister" since he was 16 for something that really wasn't his fault. And his dad is a bitch to him as well.
