Wife and daughter just left to go see New Moon.
Okay, so I had no interest in Twilight at all. My wife and daughter loved it at the theater so I had to download a copy so they could watch it all the time. I finally watched it with my wife. It was ok, not terrible, not too full of tee movie cliches, but at the end when Jacob stares down Edward, it intrigued me. I had to find out what the deal was with the werewolves.
So I decided to read the books. Twilight took me like a month to get through. By far the worst of all four books. New Moon and Eclipse have a decent amount of action in them and are my favorites. I think Stephanie had creative diarrhea when she wrote Breaking Dawn though. While fairly entertaining, it is a mess.
Anyway, I read the books. They aren't Harry Potter, but they aren't the Sweet Valley twins either. I'll watch all the movies, but probably via internet.
And yes, when we went to Seattle, we took a trip to Forks and La Push. FWIW, it was gorgeous.

This is my fiancee's review of it last night via e-mail:

Holy hell the line was so long. Terris tried to get me to wear one of her Twilight shirts. I politely declined...
The movie was actually really good though and that's saying a lot since I didn't and still don't like the movie Twilight. The music in New Moon was also very good. The girl's acting was less annoying, enough to where it didn't bother me throughout the movie. And overall the movie was just done better. Different director though so I guess that helped. I want you to see it :) Sorry :) .. You, me, Terris, Jared? Double date? Yes? :) I love you? :)

Just say no. It's not that hard. You've already put a ring on her finger, so she can't complain...
