Any John Wayne role where he's not a cowboy or soldier.

Worst miscast in movie history

I simply fast forwarded to Dana Delany's scenes
I actually thought the assistant was hotter.

The correct answer is Cuba Gooding Jr as the dishwasher in Pearl Harbor.

While I kinda agree with that, the whole point of the Rachel character is one who Harvey (high profile politician) and Bruce (billionaire playboy) are essentially fighting over. It boils down almost solely to attractiveness for me. And no offense to MG, but she is nowhere near attractive enough to fill that role.
Just made it unbelievable for me that these two dudes would be fighting over an ugly-to-marginally-attractive chick.
My thing is, women guys are really close to, their friendship and persoanality take over a lot of times and make you like an avergae looking girl. Speaking about in real life.
So it's not that unbelievable to me that Bruce Wayne likes a best friend/childhood sweetheart or that Dent likes a girl he works with every day. Not all childhood friends grow up to be OT 10's and poiliticians dont really have the hottest wives.

Of recent movies, I would mention Sean Penn in All The King's Men. Sean Penn is a sleazy creep and is great at playing sleazy creeps. But Huey Long's public persona was a charming, smiling, backslapping good ole boy who could sell ice to Eskimos. Sean Penn couldn't give away free boudin to Coonasses.
Sean Penn's, although a terrible for someone supposed to be modeled on Huey Long, scenes were almost tolerable in the movie and, thus, wasn't the worst miscast in the movie. That goes goes to Anthony Hopkins, who was absolutely terrible in that horrible pos film.

Thats just the way I reason it out.

The worst for me is easy: Kirsten Dunst's weird-lookin arse as the supposed most gorgeous woman in the comic universe. Of course I'm talking about Mary Jane Watson in Spiderman.

Jean Claud Van Damme as a Cajun-tongued bad arse in Hard Target.

A bad one is Sean Connery as a Spaniard in Highlander.

Watch "The Quiet Man".
3 really bad miscasts:
1.Kevin Cosner in Robin Hood
2.Yul Brenner in Magnificant Seven (Wonderful Movie, but Yul Brenner was never convincing as a gunslinger.)
3. John Wayne in The Conqueror (Already posted, but terrible role for the Duke. It was only one he ever regretted.)

Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter

Great call on all three.
Maybe switch Yul and JW and both are better.

Any movie that Minnie Driver plays a character that is supposed to be good looking. For example "Good Will Hunting"
She is one ugly women!
She is one ugly women!

my girlfriend is a huge Harry Potter fan.. and her biggest casting gripe in the movies is actually Emma Watson as Hermione.. because Hermione is supposed to look a lot more "average"

i'm sorry. i couldn't disagree more. just couldn't.
maggie gyllenhaal is very pretty. and has a vulnerability and personality that makes her even more attractive.
and the rachel character isn't supposed to be super hot. she's supposed to be a childhood friend of bruce, link to the time before batman/parent's death (why he loves her) and an amazing and ethical legal mind (why harvey loves her). they're not chasing after her because she's the hottest thing on two legs.
MG perfect choice. Especially given the initial casting of Katie Holmes, and not being able to really stray from a certain look.
Nolan nailed it.

I thought Yul was really awesome in that movie.
But yeah The Quiet Man is a great great movie.
