Maybe if you are 30 and under those movies don't reasonate or mean anything to you...and probably not seem funny considering you don't really get most of the 80's let alone the shift from the 70's to the 80's.
As a 30 year old, I resent this.
And who's saying these movies suck?
I would probably slap someone for saying Blazing Saddles sucks. The Jerk isn't a favorite of mine, but it's still a damn funny movie. Airplane! and a host of Leslie Nielsen movies are all wonderful slapstick comedies, but you do need to like that type of comedy. If you don't like Airplane!, you probably don't like Hot Shots, Naked Gun, or Top Secret!
How anyone can dislike Caddyshack, Animal House or Holy Grail is beyond me. But above all, Blazing Saddles is undeniably one of the funniest films ever made and a true testament to what a genius can do when not fettered by Hollywood chains.

You might need to watch it a couple times. I didn't "get" it at first either but when I saw it a couple more times it started to click with me.

I love monty python, but I dont see it as silly humor besides the part with the rabbit. Monty Python is actually witty/dry so it is more engaging in my opinion
I admit I may take myself too seriously sometimes but I just can't spend an hour and a half watching comedys like Zoolander.

Then again, I can't stand anything starring Ben Stiller other than "There's Something about Mary"

All these threads.
Not just this month.
But going on.
Maybe its 25 and under and not 30 and under.
But there's this constant.
"Hi, I just woke up from a Coma, and saw a classic comedy, and since I was born after funny, I find the movies suck."
Then they ask us why these movies are funny.
And then they ask us what paying with cheques were like...and if paper money is still valid in the continental USA.

2 songs. One was a cover of a guess who song that he was inexplicably famous for, and the other was fly away. The only lyrics of which anyone knows is "I want to fly away."
Uhh no. He had two gold (Let Love Rule and Circus) and two platinum albums (Mama Said and Are you Gonna Go My Way) before those two songs came out on his fifth album in '98.

You shouldn't even be talking about it now...
Also, anyone that didn't laugh at the calendar shoot where DZ "got to show off his versatility" just doesn't get it.
Sting is also a great hero of mine, I don't really listen to his music...

What? Using coconuts instead of horses isn't silly? Hurling livestock isn't silly?

You think that you're too cool for school, but I have a newsflash for you Walter Cronkite... you aren't.

It's funny because Will Farrell is only a supporting actor and not on screen the whole movie.

The difference is there is actually clever dialogue in Monty Python.
The coconuts instead of horses isn't the funny part. The funny part is the insuing conversation about weight ratios.

Don't be butthurt b/c you were wrong brah. I've never even bought a LK album. I just know that he was pretty well known before those two songs came out.
