We went from Mozart to “I rhyme words with other peoples music”. Is that a de evolution of music or do we assume Mozart wasn’t capable of the icing on top with rhyming frog with log?

I think about things like this often. Pretty wild.

I think about it all the time in the art, music, architecture world.

Bitch, I said what I said
I'd rather be famous instead (walk on by)
I let all that get to my head
I don't care, I paint the town red (walk on by)

People are still composing that style of music, it's just not widely broadcast/appreciated.
I'm sure there were plenty of whack-arse musicians in Mozart's day.
That is to say, I think this is a simplistic and reductive take.
