Same... I had a little heartburn over Hatfield and Phair... that's why I went with JH's first band and LP's early cassette demos...
That said, I'm sure someone will know all the clips I posted, so I just tried to keep it to lesser known...
PJH re-released all of her albums on vinyl over the pandemic and while I had them on disc, I was buying the records as she released one every couple of months... They just reminded me of how incredible of an artist she is... bad arse!

Here's a more obscure '90s L.A. band whose singer recently did soundtrack work on the weird TV series Yellowjackets.

Star 69 was established in London, England, after recent American transplant Julie Daniels placed an ad in Melody Maker for musicians to form a band. Richard Corden of Creaming Jesus, Patrick "Patch" Hannan of The Sundays, and Patch's friend, the producer Warren Huart, responded to the ad. Star 69's first two EPs were recorded in Patch's recording studio, Blah Street, in 1996 and released by Organic Records. Julie wanted to move back to Los Angeles, but Hannan's position as drummer for The Sundays meant he had to record the album Static & Silence. The band eventually relocated to Los Angeles Hannan was replaced by Johnny Haro of Freak of Nature.[2]
Their album, Eating February, was released by MCA Records in the U.S. and by Radioactive Records in the UK in February, 1997. It received a relatively lukewarm response, and the band broke up soon after.
Julie Daniels with her sexy-arse voice.

Noice. I was thinking of this song yesterday for this thread but couldn't automatically remember who performed it.
