It’s a “special” release but not exclusive to TP society members. Similar to the Sonny Rollins live album.
Bri, how does it sound? Can’t say I’m a big fan…

Sounds fantastic imo. Dead quiet vinyl and Frank is right there. All the great reviews on it are one reason it has sold out everywhere. I think Barnes & Noble is the only place that still has it in stock.
They used the right tapes. Many releases in the past have used the wrong tapes, so they sound wonky. Tons of discussion about it on Steve Hoffman.

Yeah I’ve been a little upset with my system lately, trying to get back to just enjoying the music.
Twice I’ve attempted to upgrade my speakers (Focal Aria 948 & Sonus Faber Sonetto 3’s) and both times I ended up coming back to my $2000 Dali’s.
Please make it make sense…

Focal and Sonus Faber are on opposite ends of the spectrum to my ears. Maybe your Dali’s are right smack dab in the middle and that’s what you like.

What’s your experience with the two brands?
The Focals were just a tad bit big and boomy for my room I think.
The Sonus Faber’s have a nice detailed mid range but it’s almost like they’re too polite. Like a blanket is over my speakers.
The Dali’s lift that veil and shine & sparkle in a good way. The music is more lively, snare drums really pop, bigger soundstage…

When I was auditioning speakers I had the same impression you did with Sonus Faber. Very polite and laid back, which didn't match what I was looking for. I ended up with Focal Sopra 2's. What I liked was the soundstage, separation of instruments, clear and tight top end without being bright, amazing clarity in the mids, and a solid tight low end. The problem with Focals is they can drop into the 2 ohm range in the lower frequencies and if you don't have a stout enough amp you'll notice. When I was auditioning, the Focals always sounded best when paired with an amp that could control the woofers. I'm using Class D monoblocks so they give me the control I need down to 2ohms.

Thanks for the feedback, beautiful speakers too by the way…

That's an amazing album. I have bought a few other compilations from Born Bad Records, and all have been in constant rotation on my system.

I am. The Khartago has all the upgrades Klaus was offering on it. Been very pleased with it.
The Sonetto 3’s sound better with my Peachtree GaN 400 power amp. (Class D)

When I got my modest system a few years ago the wife’s only request was for Christmas Albums.

Her 1993 album, Home for Christmas, is awesome also.
