Today the idea came to me for an extremely long Beatles music program for some fan to create. The idea would be to take a very comprehensive collection of Beatles recordings and arrange them according to date, so that a listener could hear all recordings from the beginning of the group to the very end.
The recordings would of course include all of the studio albums. That's the easy part. Inside the chronological arrangement of the studio album recordings, we would insert Studio Outtakes, Alternate versions, unreleased recordings, Demos and all Live recordings, as I said, from the beginning of the group to the end.
That would be quite a few hours of Beatles audio recordings, but, any true Beatles fan would enjoy listening to this "marathon", I think.

It is annoying how hard it is to get something chronological given the whole singles situation.

all of the singles and studio albums are about 10 hours total from beginning to end. A 12 hour chronological marathon with outtakes and interviews would be very cool

Finished Lewisohn last night. In the notes, he mentions that Neil had started opening up to him for actual interviews...and then just died suddenly.
Seriously, when are we getting the 2nd book?

quote:
The song was originally recorded in 1965 for the Beatles' album Help! and was written by Paul McCartney in a dream.
Paul wrote that when he was 17!
Think about that. A song on that subject with that depth written by a 17 year old
Yet another reason why Sir Paul is tGOAT.

quote:I don't think this is accurate. He wrote it in 1964 - would have been just turned 21. Still makes this true:
