Damn, man, you went way back. We must be the same age.

Was that the same Zephyrfest with Matthew Sweet, Bush, Catherine Wheel, hHead, and The Caufields?

Really? I went to a concert with Death Cab and Franz Ferdinand, and I thought both bands did a solid job. Cameron Indoor Stadium is not a great venue for music, but they made it an enjoyable concert.

A few months later though, TI was horrendous. He showed up 45 minutes late because he was eating at a fricking PF Changs half an hour away from campus and proceeded to do a 35 minute show.

Worst: Willie Nelson @DeLuna fest 2010 on Pensacola Beach. It was free and it was on the beach so that was cool but the old man doesn't sound to good live anymore. But at least I got to see Willie!
Best: tie between Stone Temple Piolets @ voodoo fest 2000 & Old Crow Medicine Show @ house of blues NOLA 2007
Honorable mention: Matt&Kim DeLuna fest 2011 (if you don't know em, look em up)

Best: Impossible to say. Been to too many great shows to singl out just one.

Worst: Grateful Dead in PMAC in 1977 or in Jackson in 1978. Some nights they just weren't in synch, but others they were magic. These two nights they were awful.

I got my year wrong. I saw them early 1986 on ame tour. Bon Jovi was good, but Ratt was bad arse. I just remember sitting in front of Robyn and he was whaling. I liked all the guitars. They had a much better and lider sound system than Jovi did at that concert.

Nah, actually I was looking forward to her performance but, the 20,000 females in the building were so hyped up to see Rod that they completely drowned out Patty's singing.

And when Rod was performing it was non stop screaming from beginning to end...not sure i even got to hear one song.

best for a big show, Roger Waters The Wall Tour
best for a small show, Old 97's at Gruene Hall, without a doubt

I don't really recall any bad concert experiences other than a shitty lawn crown in Dallas at the amphitheater next to the Cotton Bowl

Well, it was really just my worst concert experience. I was extremely tired, and they aren't in my wheelhouse musically. It was a great venue, the crowd was into it, and I just didn't care at all. They aren't the kind of band that can suck you in if you are tired. My wife and I left halfway through.

Franz Ferdinand could probably have snapped me out of it for a couple of hours.

Was at this one, too. Good show. Good opening act, but saw them the next year at the Tabernacle in Atlanta on tour for "Room on Fire," and they had a pre-suck Kings of Leon opening. That's one of my favorites.
The other is 2008 Wilco at Tipitina's complete with a horn section.

Tie for worst is Eagles in Bossier in who cares what year and Kenny "Miniature" Chesney at the New Orleans Arena a few years ago. Both tickets and booze were free, and that couldn't redeem either from the worst on my list.

Best-
Pink Floyd Superdome 1994
Iron Maiden UNO 1984
KMFDM Howlin' Wolf 2000
NIN UNO 1994

Worst-
Pretty lucky, but probably AC/DC at UNO in 1986.
They weren't horrible, but every song just kind of droned on and was just loud for the sake of being loud, and they all sounded the same. And I like them, just wasn't for me, live.
