Stevie Ray Vaughan is my favorite.
Gregg Allman is a top 5 all time vocalist, IMO, but I consider him more of a soul singer than blues.

I guess I don't think of there being a Best Blues singer. A good voice sesms so unimportant if it doesn't fit their sound.

King, Muddy Waters and certainly John Lee Hooker for example).

You might argue she's jazz, but to me it's blues sung to jazz. Much like Robben Ford fits jazz chords to blues comps.

There are a lot of great ones, but for me no one could squeeze the pain out of a song better than Otis Redding. Hard to believe he died at 26.
