Dylan, McCartney and Carole King wrote a substantial portion of their catalog with a partner
If Swift writes alone she is the future living GOAT

Some recent guy: Joe Pug, Joe Purdy, both Avetts (although they have fallen off), Jason Isbell, Bon Iver. Though I agree with the earlier poster than said until Bob Dylan dies, you have to give it to him.
Putting Taylor Swift as top choice is pretty laughable, but it's a nice complement to her writting imo that another great song writer, Ryan Adams, felt 1989 was worth covering the entire album.

Dylan had a very few songs that had a co-writer. He wrote almost entirely alone.
I think the true measure of a great songwriter, is how many other artists want to record your songs, especially artists in very different genres. That's where Dylan has kicked arse. Hundreds of artists in every genre have recorded his stuff, and will continue to do so, long after he is dead.

Jason Isbell probably deserves a mention

After decades of listening to many genres, I’m going to go with James Taylor.
That man doesn’t tell a story, he puts you into the story. He wields his craft at an unimaginable level.
His lyrics are evocative, his sing impeccable, and his guitar playing is a perfect accompaniment. One man, one guitar, one voice.

dylan only very rarely wrote with a partner...most notably jaques levy on the album "desire", members of the band on "the basement tapes" and with george harrison on two songs in 1969. thats it
mccartney/lennon was a publishing partnership. after "rubber soul" there was hardly any input from one on the other's songwriting, and for the 50 years following the break-up he has written hundreds of solo songs including dozens now standard to the rock and roll songbook.
similar to the above, goffin/king was a publishing partnership. they were married at the time, and obviously collaborated. however, as a solo writer carole king is one of the most celebrated (and published/recorded) of all time.
