Sounds like it always should have been a country song.
And can finally understand the words

The original song is the reason I wanted to learn to play guitar.

Ronnie Dunn is a pretty damn good singer. I thought he did a decent job on that.

The intro sounds so fun.

Man, he did some great covers on that.
If You Don't Know Me By Now, is really good, Against The Wind Too. That's How I got To Memphis( Tom T. Hall song and Damn I hear Leroy Parnell in there), Won't Back Down...
Brown Eyed Girl is good too.

A Showman's Life, that's a gem.
Some really good guitar throughout the album.

the original was specifically conceived and produced as a CCR cop, so that's not really surprising

Nice rendition...Good recommendation.

Checked out the rest of the album from Ronnie Dunn ('RE-DUN') -- pretty good selection. Love me some Lap Steel.

'RE-DUN'

Stand outs: Against The Wind, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Wonderful Tonight, Brown Eyed Girl, Amie.
