Is the Sphere only doing residencies?

For such an expensive facility, it seems woefully underused. After the last Dead show August 10th, there isn't another event there besides their in-house tours and video shows through April of 2025.

Who is the next residency?

it just recently opened, U2 was the first artist to use it. Vegas is all about residency so I expect that will be its major use. Probably just weekend nights.

it’s an undertaking to put on a show there. The artist appears to be responsible for their own visuals so it will be interesting to see how this goes in the future. But there are plenty of major touring acts that could pull it off for a couple of weekends in a row

I know that, but it just seems odd for it to basically sit unused for 9 months. That's unheard of for a major venue, especially a new one.

You would think they would have artists lining up to play there.

they have a “house show” four times a day when there is not a concert at night.

I just looked it up and it looks like the Zac Brown Band is doing a residency in 2025.

That still means it will basically sit vacant for 9-10 months, outside of their tours and in-house video shows.

It has been rumored to be The Eagles later this year, but still nothing announced. It wouldn’t be my thing, but I’m sure they would do well.

Hopefully Phish can make it annual tradition.

I would imagine DMB eventually gets there.

The world might implode if Taylor Swift ever sets up shop there.

I’m not sure it’ll ever be a single stop on a tour for anyone.

John Mayer was on a different planet last night. It’s almost like a robot playing it was so clean be he isn’t as he was having a blast with the crowd. Bob’s voice in this venue is pretty damn good for how old he is. They were phenomenal again even if son of the music was measured

Once again, The sound quality is unlike anything you have ever heard.

I actually liked the 400 section for the overall feel but the 200 had it advantages as well as you can actually see what’s going on the stage. It doesn’t matter just get in the building!

Vega’s, for all it’s insanity is a great trip for those shows…. I gotta come back later this summer!!!

Yeah I don’t drink or gamble so Las Vegas is not anywhere I would want go except for the Sphere show. The city does move millions of tourist around pretty good.

Love to see JRAD at the sphere but with their pace Im sure folks would be falling out of the upper deck

I was just coming to post that. I've seen them on their current tour with Steely Dan. May try to catch this one as well.
