I listened to it on Friday and it's atrocious. Sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks do rock songs. I love Dolly, but this album was a swing and a miss.

Love Dolly.

Her voice is a shadow of its former glory.

Did not enjoy the parts of it I have heard.

At least it's not as bad as Chris Gaines.

The catalyst to this project was her induction to the "Rock and Roll" hall of fame, which she honorably tried to refuse because she's not a rock and roll artist.

But they insisted and she became one of dozens of artists who have no business being classified as rockers.

So, we got this well-intentioned but awkward album. Another miss by the R&R HOF selectors.

Dolly has always been very humble, which is part of the reason she is so well admired/loved.

While I appreciate and understand her intentions, it's still a no for me.

Fine, I'll say it. I can't stand Dolly Parton
It seems as if you heard little about her after the 1980s until about 5-7 years ago. Then I started noticing stories hyping her philanthropy. I never cared for anything she did musically. Is she going to be the newest old lady obsession like Betty White was?

Played Magic Man for my ten year old because she likes Heart. She just started laughing and said it was horrible. It is pretty bad. Some of the other covers are pretty good though especially Every Breath You Take

Haven't heard it, but that just seems like a bad choice of a Heart song for Dolly to do.
Why not Dreamboat Annie, or Dog and Butterfly? Probably would have turned out better.
