similar to the Acoustasonics I guess, but they say these are all analogue. I guess that means no computer boards?
They've got a Fishman Fluence pickup system, and a bolt on neck, thinner body, all made in Mexico.
They look pretty cool. Hope I can try one out soon.

I happened upon them accidentally
at C&M music in Mandeville today. I didn't have time to play one but they looked pretty cool.

I got an email about them today. I didn't know they are already in stores. Maybe I can check one out pretty soon.

Interesting. It seems more in line of what I'm looking for if the Acoustasonics are electronically unreliable.
I checked out videos for the unplugged sound and reviews are mixed, although all say it's better than the A-sonic.

yeah, these new guitars have a much bigger sound chamber.
Reverb does a good 11 minute video review of them. and part of it is unplugged through a mic.

Auggie ... Have you ever done a trade-in at Guitar center? I've got three Pro Audio Star purchases I need to move (Squier Mustang HH, Squier Paranormal Cyclone and Squier Baritone - I know, I know. Bad case of GAS), and I might as well clean house and get down to what I really need / want: one Fender strat, one Harley Benton 12-string and one really nice acoustic.
The three I'd be trading are in new or like new condition. Any thoughts on how their trade in process works?

Yes, I traded a nice U.S. strat once for a MIJ blue flower paisley telecaster that I really wanted. They gave me 1/2 of what the strat was worth, but I was in that guitar cheap, so it worked out.
They will probably offer you 100 bucks each on the squiers, maybe a bit more on the baritone.
I would sell them on reverb.

Can you post some photos of the Baritone?

I can't right now, but it's the black telecaster version with the white pick guard.
My luthier buddy set it up, he played Wichita Lineman, I put in in the case I bought and have never picked it up again. I also have the box it was shipped in in the closet. I just need to thin the herd and move on.
EDIT: All three have been professionally set up and the Mustang HH and Cyclone have been restrung. I was worried about scale length so I started with the 24" and then bought the Cyclone for a strat pick-up configuration and 24 3/4 scale. Then I learned barre chords, jumped to a Fender strat and never looked back. Oh well, I could have spent money on shite like lottery tickets or and other stuff, right?

GC as a rule of thumb will at best give you half of what they will seek/tag for any piece of used gear.
You are better off selling budget instruments on CL or FB Marketplace. There is always a market on those forums for budget instruments.

Thanks FretShack. Depending on what they'd offer I'd rather just take the loss and not deal with people not showing up / endless e-mail exchanges / etc. If the three netted me half off of the price of the Highway guitar I'd be happy.
At the current prices of the work I do I could take on one little side job and pay for the rest anyway.

Probably not 90% of the time.
I've learned quickly pay for quality the first time rather than compromise and eventually pay for quality later.

I just replied, it's a cool extra deal on that site.

I traded a couple in recently. It is 1/2 of what they can resell it for (you can look on used gear to get an idea of what you will get) BUT they also run deals where it is an additional 10% off your purchase for trading in gear.
I got $200 for a Epiphone LP Studio and another $260 off a Gibson - so basically $460 for the Epiphone.

So has anyone here physically played one yet?
I was too busy to make the hour trip this weekend.

I still haven't, maybe this week..
I know they will be cool guitars, but I don't think they(or any other hybrid) can take the place of a really good full size acoustic guitar. They are just not going to give all of the big booming sound. Especially for country and folk/southern rock type stuff. You need a good full-size dreadnought, or jumbo with a solid spruce top for that. Ideal for acoustic sounding lead and lighter sounding rhythm, I'm sure, but there's no way I would buy one, if I didn't already have a great acoustic guitar.

I've got an original 2005-06 Baden guitar that was a display model at my luthier buddy's store. It was placed on a shelf and forgotten about. Then when the owner of the store sold out / retired he let my buddy keep it since it needed to be repaired.
It looks like the one below, but has a crack from the sound hole to the pin. He repaired the crack (which is still visible), refinished the face, restrung it and set it up, but I hate playing it. The width of the body cuts into my arm and my hands don't have the strength to play anything beyond cowboy chords on it. Hence I'm looking at easier to fret acoustic/electric alternatives. I need to get rid of this one too. lol. It comes with a very nice feather duster? lined hard case and an uninstalled or used Fishman pick-up. Plus the orignal store tag.
I'm sure it's a great instrument since this Baden fella worked for Taylor before starting his own company, but it's more than I can handle. At this stage I'll sacrifice tone for comfort.
