Not the biggest fan of hardcore nu metal but I am impressed with Jinjer. They have a chick lead singer who can go low like Phil Anselmo and then take it back up like an opera singer. She is easy on the eyes too.....band is super tight as well. Not the biggest Nu Metal fan but I am pretty impressed with these guys.

Love them. Reaction videos for Pisces are hilarious.

Nothing special about the band other than the singer. They have a few good songs but I get bored listening to a full album.

Loving them. Obviously she's special but I'm loving most of what I've heard. Would love to catch a show!

To each their own, but could not disagree more. They are in no way nu-Metal but are hard to categorize. The musicianship, especially of the rhythm section is pretty great.

saw them the other night as an opener for Disturbed. Very impressive and fun to watch live. I doubt I'd listen randomly but it was a good time.

Tatiana was lookin good on stage.

I love them. They are basically their own genre. I don’t know how Tatiana does what she does & if her voice can hold up doing this long term.

Nah, lots of metal chicks doing growl vocals. Straight Line Stitch pre-dates them by years. Check out Melissa Bonny and Alissa White-Gluz.

Love them. They are phenomenal live. Not much dropoff vocal wise from the studio albums.

Not sure i'd classify them as nu metal though? Unless the definition of nu metal has changed? I'd say they are metalcore with some elements of groove metal

I’m very aware. Most of these other bands with growl vocal female singers are in the European heavy power metal type category. Jinjer is completely all over the place.

Seeing them open for Disturbed & Breaking Benjamin this Monday in Raleigh. Have been a fan for a few years now. I'm not a nu metal devotee (or hater) so I couldn't even tell you how closely they fit into that sub-genre, but they take influences from a fairly wide swath of music including ska/reggae, jazz, djent and other metal sub-genres, etc. Somewhat proggy at times in a way.

Tatiana is fantastic and her clean voice is gorgeous. I would love to hear her do more clean vocals but her growls are very good and she enunciates a bit more than many such that I can actually understand some of the lyrics.

From what I've seen, singers who know how to do this properly say they can go for hours with no strain. There is a correct technique to develop where it isn't a problem, despite how rough it sounds.

I'm not into piercings and tattoos for the most part, but Tatiana just does it for me.

Seen them twice live and both times they were absolutely incredible, tightest band I have seen live, been going to shows for almost 40 years.

Dude it is not just the vocals. The polyrhythms, genre mashing, lyrical content are all top notch. Sure other females growl but the whole band is impeccable.
