What if Irving Berlin and Julie London had a baby?

When I was a very young boy, I remember thinking she was exoti with that voice of hers. “Cry me a River” affected me everytime I heard it. I’m pretty sure my mother played it a lot on a’78 on our old record player. Yes, I’m old ( very cool, though).

I had the pleasure of attending her concert on campus in 1963 and later meeting her (briefly!) at the reception which followed in the old Huey P. Long Field House. Cry Me a River is still the most sultry song ever.
