Was there in the nosebleeds. Terrible sound compared to voodoo fest which was the last time I saw them. Not sure if it was the height difference but it was night and day. Will not go to a concert in jerrys world again unless I had floor tickets.

lmao...was going to just hang out at the hotel and probably go home tomorrow. Just checked my email and won some tix from the met club for the snake pit. Guess I'm going to go. It looked really cool down there even if the sound sucks : )

How bad was the traffic? Me and my son going tomorrow, probably going stay on I20 and avoid I30.
Also about what time did it end?

We parked in lot 15 which was the cheapest lot. We left at the beginning of the next to last song. We had to weave our way through some neighborhoods heading south. They had alot of side streets barricaded. Really depends on what part of the stadium you park at. Honestly the critical part is when you leave. We are planning on leaving after whiskey in a jaro...which if they play according to the setlist is the song before two songs left. If you have to stay for every song, good luck and you will wait for an hour or two to get out.

Finished right around 11. We left then and it took about an hr to get to the car and onto 30

Went and saw Pantera at The Woodlands on Thursday night instead. No regrets.
Phenomenal.

Was there last night. This was the 3rd time I've seen Metallica and found this show extremely disappointing. was in the 300s to start then joined friends in the 200s. TERRIBLE audio. I'm sure whatever they were filming the show for will pull the sound directly from the mixing board and be fantastic but it was a gawdawful experience to listen to.
I expect the sound quality to be diminished to an extent when seeing a show at a large enclosed stadium - but this was the worst I've ever heard. Can't for my life figure out why they used only their basic touring sound setup. I mean the speakers where a little over 2 stories high at the most... which is idiotic in a venue where the seating is almost 6 stories. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DIDN'T USE ANY OF THE STADIUM'S AUDIO OUTPUT!!! THE SPEAKERS THAT ARE, YOU KNOW - CALIBRATED FOR THE VENUE! I've been to a handful of NFL and College games there and when they crank that music up - It's loud and clear as a bell.
ETA:
fix spelling error

Phil’s performance was amazing. He nailed everything! Couldn’t believe it.

Can’t resist the old man rant: I saw Metallica on Master of Puppets tour opening for Ozzy at UNO. And it was awesome.
I’ve seen them at bigger venues and as long as you are on the floor they sound incredible. They spend time and money to make sure that the fans get a good show.

Decided to go and will be on the floor. Sounds like acoustics should be good as long as lower level.
Sucks that even if people are in nosebleeds they haven’t figured out acoustics in these larger venues.

In the 200 level sound was shite
Improved for Metallica
Will not see another show at ATT or any big venue again
Luckily I usually see smaller bands and smaller venues

Yeah the whole band just slayed that show. Nonstop intense show. My buddy I went with was in Razor White with Phil back in the ‘80s.

We are out here for night two. It’s official. 5 Finger Death Punch is the worst live band I’ve ever witnessed.

Stadium is just too big. But they left the fricking lights on for Pantera and ruined the vibe.
