Telecaster pickguard - Need your suggestion / opinion on a new one?

I have the 40th Anniversary Squier Tele like in the first pic.

I was thinking about maybe changing the pick guard to a tortoise shell style similar to the one Pince used on the second pick. (Maybe I will play like him? )

Your thoughts. Worth it to change or leave it original?

3rd pic is various colors available...too many choices.

Like the black better on mahogany but would take the more red tort like the two pickguards on the right in bottom pic.

Thanks, me too. Upon reflection, I used to seek new guitars when I got bored and my playing "plateaued" so I guess a new pickguard is major improvement.
