I think you could not go wrong and make arguments for several groups.

Obviously The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin would be the top choices, but you could make the argument for Van Halen. Roth is arguably one of the best frontmen or showman of all-time, Eddie on Guitar, Anthony on Bass and Hamonies and Alex on Drums.

If you go by just vocals, Orbison is superior than the other four.
