First Show:

Memphis > Rockafella > Aquatic Ape(3), Hope > Svenghali(3) > Astronaut(1)> Save the Robots (end)
Set 2
Save the Robots(1) > Astronaut(2) > Spacebirdmatingcall > Air Song^ > Spacebirdmatingcall
Second Show:
Helicopters > Humuhumunukunukuapua'a^ > The Great Abyss^ > Cyclone > Moshi Fameus > Above the Waves(3) > On Time > Helicopters, Spaga > Morph Dusseldorf(3)
Key:
1 = beginning
2 = middle
3 = end
^ = inverted
Notes:
First show was played during a monsoon-like rain storm. Fingers crossed on sbd's, but reports aren't looking good.
Parts of their lighting rig were confiscated at customs.
Going to be pissed if some of these songs aren't repeated for the NYE run.
Some kid made a deal with Brownie-- kid picked the setlist and then got it tattooed.
Every "The Great Abyss" played this year has been inverted.
"Hope" has rarely been finished since Allen joined the band.

Third Show:
Set 1

Set 2
Confrontation, Basis for a Day > Bernstein & Chasnoff > Tempest > Basis For a Day > Lunar Pursuit > Devil Inside > Basis for a Day
Encore
Highwire
Key:
^ = middle
Notes:
- "Tricycle" and "Reactor" are both rumored to be very dark.
- I'm pretty much furious now that I won't get some of these songs, like B&C, on the NYE run. However, I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the songs played in this show will be repeated; hoping for "Basis", "Tricycle", and "Spraypaint".
"Confrontation", "Lunar", "Tempest" would be nice too but not a deal breaker if they aren't repeated.
- I love "Highwire", but it and "Wet" are the most cop-out encores of all time. Short, sweet, and almost always played the exact same way for the exact same length of time. Great songs that always come off as "mailing it in" as encores.
- The setlist played was different than the one on paper. Hoping that means that "Once the Fiddler Paid" will be played in Chicago.

What are some of the best Disco Biscuits shows/sets?
Obviously, the answer to this depends on who you ask.
Jazztafari's "20 Must Have Disco Biscuits Discs" list:
1. 12/30/99 Vassillios->Little Lai->Mr. Don->Run Like Hell->Little Lai
This is the obvious choice. The best executed set of all-time. Rich's remaster sounds amazing. The capper of the most amazing year of music I've heard. Just perfection. The don->run like hell is still the best moment I've ever experienced at a show.
2. 12/31/99 Akira Jam (2 discs)
Another staple, the second disc has more meat to it, but you have to listen to it straight thru to really appreciate what Akira is. The trance fusion that emerges out of the dubby jam on the second disc is possibly the best 5 minutes of "bisco" ever. Of course there is also that basis ending!
3. 5/1/99 The Overture->Basis For a Day->Vassillos->Basis For a Day->The Overture
Probably my single favorite biscuits disc. This is the one show I was not at that I most wish I could have attended. Love the airy sound of the basis jam, and the vassillios is zen bisco at its best.
4. 10/5/02 Save the Robots, The Very Moon->Helicopters->The Very Moon->Shem Rah Boo->Helicopters
This is the quintessential disc from Fall 02, and one of Brownstein's best. Enough has been said about this show that I don't need to go any further, but don't discount the robots.
5. 4/14/01 Home Again->Little Shimmy in a Conga Line->Munchkin Invasion->Shem Rah Boo->Jigsaw Earth->Munchkin Invasion
Yes, 4/7/01 might be a better show musically, but there is something magical about that Roseland show. I still get chills looking at the setlist. This was a nite where the biscuits took a huge leap forward in my book. The fact that they didn't stop at all during both sets and the encore made it that much more intense. I remember after the Lowell show the nite before, Marc said that Barber has written a "monster" for Roseland. They delivered, and the second set is where its at for me. Shimmy->Munchkin!!!
6. 10/30/99 M.E.M.P.H.I.S.->I-Man->Run Like Hell
While 12/30/99 might be the perfect set in terms of execution, this sequence to me is the best jamming the biscuits have ever done, even more remarkable when it doesn't lose focus for 3 songs over 75 minutes. The iman is the best ever, and Brownstein puts down some old school basslines using the bass synth in the second Memphis jam.
7. 10/13/00 Grass is Green->Svengali->Inverted Overture->Crickets
This set doesn't get the attention is deserves, in the shadows of the next nite in Santa Cruz and the, imo, overrated new york shows. But this is the single most influential set from Fall 00. This set defined the jungle-esque sound that is unique to this tour. It's experimental and fairly ambient, but the peaks they reach are monstrous. 2 huge jams into overture and, oh yeah, the best crickets ever.
8. 7/3/99 Helicopters->Run Like Hell->Pygmy Twylyte->Helicopters, News From Nowhere
The most patient jamming ever, even though the helicopters jam is more or less a run like hell intro from the start. An old that has been seeing the band since 1996 told me that this was the first show that made him take the biscuits seriously as a band.
9. 3/31/01 Jam->Down to the Bottom->Hope, Mindless Dribble->M.E.M.P.H.I.S.->Jigsaw Earth
Following up on the above, this could be the most patient set from Spring 01. The opening jam is reminiscent of some 99 intros, the segue into hope is gorgeous, and the dubfest that ensues in the second half of the set has to be heard. One of the rare 'happy' dribbles, Barber's guitar riff is pure bliss.

(continued)
10. 10/28/99 Magellan->Spaga->Mindless Dribble->Basis For a Day->Spaga
I really picked a beauty for my first show. Now that I can actually appreciate it, the magellan->spaga is my favorite segue ever. Listen to the part they segue back into, led by magner on piano and Brownstein's pounding bass. The mindfrick of a show continues with a dribble featuring teases including: shem rah, basis, Magellan, jigsaw, mulberry's, boop, pat and dex and I'm sure a slew of other I am forgetting. The jam out of the pat and dex lyrics into basis ending to me is the best (non-akira) bisco of all time. Not necessarily the best jamming, but the best bisco, which I like to differentiate. That feeling that only the biscuits can provide is at its peak at the end of that jam.
11. 12/4/99 Spaga->The Very Moon->Plan B
Another new york show where the biscuits took a big step up. The first show outside of wetlands produced a monster, as right away, they began with the trendy opener of spaga, followed by an extended, light-giving very moon intro. Our joy was soon turned to madness as they ripped the best plan b ever played, which was only a prelude of the insanity to come. The rest of the show speaks for itself, but this disc might have the best concentration of music from the show overall.
12. 4/9/99 Above the Waves->Basis For a Day, M.E.M.P.H.I.S->Above the Waves, I-Man
My disc is cut this way, but the remaster has it done differently. Your choice really. This disc has both of my favorite parts of this landmark show. The waves->basis is something every biscuits fan needs to hear, and the Memphis remains one of the more unheralded jams, as the rest of the show produced some amazing moments (basis, shimmy->rlh, very moon->HAB) that overshadow it.
13. 4/7/01 Munchkin Invasion->Vassillios->Inverted Waves->Munchkin Invasion, Home Again, Radiator
This sequence is probably the best jam from Spring 01. The segue into vassillios is dark and dirty, and there is a tease of waves within the waves jam. Great munchkin as well. Get the rest of the show too, but this is best part.
14. 10/15/99 Little Betty Boop, I-Man->Pygmy Twylyte
Best boop ever to open the show, followed by one of the best imans and what I think is the best pygmy. This set is Fall 99 trance fusion at its best. For all you 99 haters, listen to this disc and then get back to me. Another 3 song disc that won't get your bored even for a second.
15. 3/27/99 Magellan, Voices Insane, Mindless Dribble->Above the Waves
Another one that can only be described as perfection. Grab the remaster. This show *is* Spring 99 disco biscuits. Some of the best Barber ever is on this disc.
16. 10/22/99 Svengali, Above the Waves->Pygmy Twylyte->Above the Waves
Have the have something from the phenomenal Georgia Theatre show, and this is my favorite disc of the show. This was probably the best svengali up until 12/31/99, full of breakbeats and descending basslines, which defined the fall 99 rhythm section. Follow that by a dub waves that erupts into what many think is the best waves ever.
17. 12/31/04 Home Again, Crickets-> Save The Robots-> Mindless Dribble-> Helicopters, Caterpillar, Shelby Rose
Haven't listened to this one in a while, but it remains one of the more fun and celebratory sets ever. The caterpillar is worth the listen by itself. Third set might have better jamming, but I think the second set is a bit more memorable. Best countdown since 99.
18. 10/14/00 Mindless Dribble->Jigsaw Earth->Inverted Waves->Mindless Dribble->Jigsaw Earth
The money set from what was at the time thought to be the best show from FT2K, and even called by some best ever. Erin McKeon ("trooper") wrote the setlist and it's a beauty. Probably the best inverted waves played and a slew of dub jams.
19. 10/29/99 Helicopters->Plan B, Mr. Don->The Very Moon Jam->Pygmy Twylyte->Magellan
My list would be incomplete without a nod to the biscuits' (and my) alma mater. The hometown show is amazing all around and played at what is still the best indoor venue I have seen a band play. The don->very moon jam is, imo, the happiest jam I have heard from the biscuits and its also the best Magellan ending I have heard. Also get the rest of this show, but since the second set splits over 2 discs, you should grab the first set in its entirety.
20. 12/30/98 Nughuffer->Vassillios->Mindless Dribble
'98 biscuits at its best. The nughuffer is all techno and smoothly slips into vassillios. This remains one of my favorite segues. The dribble has a happy jam that won't leave your head after hearing it. Possibly a prelude of the happy dribble played exactly a year later at the TLA. This disc is the perfect late-nite driving biscuits disc.

May have already been covered but this thread is dense. If I want to listen to em what's my best bet for an android phone? Any good apps to use for streaming their shows, etc?
