I love Arcade Fire. Family friends, actually. And their live show is like nothing I've ever seen. Crazy energetic and they are all so disgustingly talented. Awesome band.

All these bands on alt nation xm 36 aren't "hipster" bands. It's a lot of indie pop/alt pop rock.

1) Animal Collective
2) Vampire Weekend
3) Bon Iver
FWIW: A lot of tards on this board assume you're hipster if you don't list to shitty jam bands. Phish sucks, DWI.

Not saying I consider these bands/people hipster, just saying this is what my "hipster" friends are really pumping up right now. Hip-hop has come on strong with the PBR fans over the last year.

Since when did #1 chart topping, Grammy winning artists become hipster?
I expected to see band names like:

I don't even really know what "hipster" music means anymore... I just lump most indie music into it I guess. Regardless, there's a ton of great indie/hipster music out there and I imagine a lot of the present day music I listen to would categorize me as a hipster, which I'm far from.
But seriously, remove pop, hip hop/rap, country, and jam bands, and pretty much all you're left with is what people call "hipster" music.... so if you don't listen to the radio or stream live Panic shows then you're a hipster I guess
