Just hoping some a-hole team doesnt bail them out today.

Feels like how it goes with that franchise though.

Some Memphis/Gasol will swoop in with a near conspiracy level trade offer that suddenly vaults the Lakers back to relevancy....And i could see something like Eric Gordon + John Wall for Westbrook, Nunn, THT, pieces, and 2027 first rounder being the framework for that....Then Lakers getting buy out guys

Aren’t the clippers openly tanking tho? They are only 1 game ahead.

This could be a negotiating strategy, but it sounds like the 2027 pick is off the table for now. They plan to save it for the summer when they can bundle it with the 2029 pick and get something better.

If we get a top-10 pick this year from the Lakers and send out a non-lottery pick to the Blazers/Grizz, the national media will lose it.

Sources: The Lakers, Knicks and Raptors have discussed a 3-team trade.

Lakers get Cam Reddish and Alec Burks.

Knicks get Goran Dragic and draft picks.

Raptors get Talen Horton-Tucker and Nerlens Noel.

There’s also a chance Kendrick Nunn is added to the trade as talks continue

Man I have gone from hating to liking Cam Reddish, but I don't think he's going to be what LAL needs. He's got a bit of an ego and I can see him adding to the combustibility of that roster.

Also..THT...how much has his value dropped in a year? Dude was this untouchable asset last year and is being dumped for...Cam Reddish?

I don't see how the Lakers get better with that trade.

That would have to be relatively significant draft compensation for the Knicks to trade Burks, Reddish and Noel for a likely bought out Dragic.

I think the fact that Thibs doesn't want to play a guy who is supposed to be a good defender says something about Reddish. Other than adding another legit NBA player in Burks, I don't think that trade helps them much. Plus it would keep them from bundling the 2027 pick with the 2029 pick this summer.

Let's be honest, any trade that brings in an Eric Gordon/Alec Burks level player isn't making the Lakers significantly better as tough as their schedule is. I guess maybe they would start beating the openly tanking teams...

How is it possible that me, a dude who doesn't watch a single non-Pels NBA game, could see what was so obvious but LeGM and their idiot agent GM couldn't?

quote:

This comes from a place of hate, but I still believe it.

The Lakers will not win the title.

The only way it could happen is if they stay healthy at the exact right time, which I just don't see happening.

This is a team made up of some very fragile personalities like Davis, Dwight and Westbrook. Lots of egos.

And they're old.

They'd be bucking history as the oldest team ever to win.

What's more realistic is the Westbrook experiment fails just like EVERY Westbrook experiment fails.

I said the same shite when he went to Houston. This will NOT work. But people love the name.

I can see this team falling off a cliff once Davis sprains his vag and Westbrook ballhogs an entire 4th quarter and they lose.

Absolutely hilarious.

People will shite on the Pels every second they can find in a day but Skip and Shannon will debate about this piece of shite team for 3 hours daily

Lakers fans in June: “No way can we give up THT for Lowry, let alone Buddy Hield!”

Lakers Fans in February: “Hey maybe they’ll take THT for Cam Reddish”

No, they don’t keep their pick this year, no reason to tank

Bev is referencing a 2019 Westbrook quote after the Rockets beat the Clippers

quote:

Russell Westbrook: “Pat Bev trick y’all, man, like he playing defense. He don’t guard nobody, man. He just running around, doing nothing.” Made sure to note that James Harden scored 47 tonight.
