Not extending him should be a fire-able offense. Bey is no less valuable than Trey at this point. Bey is only a year older. Exactly the kind of player we need to wash off the stank of Zion when he inevitably goes away.

His max extension is reasonably cheap. 20 mil aav is reasonable for him so there shouldn't be much thought. Even if you don't intend to keep him long-term, his contract will be easy to move and will more than likely be an asset in the deck.

He has to want to stay here for that to happen. I'm certainly not making the assumption he'll want to stay here.

Strategy makes sense, but someone like KAT would scare me defensively. He'd be great for spacing, but we need a spacer 5 that can also anchor a defense and erase some perimeter mistakes if Herb is not starting.
