Celtics were able to make their pitch especially since Ainge has made it clear they are very interested in AD

being interested with 2-3 years of control is not the same as being interested with 1 year of control knowing said player wants to play in LAL ultimately

I mean look man. We will just have to wait and see.

I personally think a mediocre Boston offer is better than the Lakers best offer.

the point is that AD has more leverage than people are saying

these kinds of statements are not harmless

Everyone says this very year about ever disgruntled superstar and it never works out to the team they are allegedly forcing their way to.

Relax.

That is just what draws attention. Because FANS are just that: fanatics. And team based forums like Saints talk & this one always hold out for the best. I do not post about my own teams with a bias. I just dont operate like that.

No one notices when you agree with everyone. I never say anything to be contrarian. I am a realist bunchie. I take information, process it, and draw my own conclusions. And im usually pretty good with it.

These players are so entitled. If you want to go to LA, serve out your contract then sign with them. You can't have it both ways.
That would be worse for the Pels.

Crazy idea...may not be great for the Pels but I think it's worth discussing

What if Portland went all in?

McCollum, Harkless, Aminu, & 1st for AD, Moore, & Frazier (salary filler)

Gives Portland
Dame, Moore, Aminu, AD, Nurkic to go into the playoffs with. They can make other moves in the offseason to better roster but it's interesting and they have a well run organization

Gives New Orleans
Two legit guards in a guard/wing league and shooting. We get a solid wing in Harkless. Keep Niko. Trade Randle in a separate deal.

Depending on how much Niko gets this summer...you could go into 2020 free agency with only Jrue, CJ, and Niko under contract

the sooner people accept he wants to play in LAL the sooner they will realize that "all 29 teams are on the phone with the Pels!!!!" is pure bullshite

1. Toronto just did the exact same thing with Kawhi. They know the odds of resigning him are unlikely, didn't stop them

2. Are you stating that every writer out there reporting on each team who is interested, every single one of them are just lying and making stuff up?

You've got me there. Trust me I am as skeptical as anyone that they will.

But listening to local radio, people are pretty fired up. The Pels are Gayle's baby.

I THINK they are embarrassed by all this and will try to make themselves a legit org.

This whole thing is extremely transparent and Ainge/others (hopefully Demps) see right through it. Klutch is taking their best shot at getting AD to LA. Releasing this before the deadline, implying AD only resigns there, media pushing their narrative...they know if they get to the offseason the odds go down bigtime. Unless the Pels FO is extremely dumb and impatient, they will eventually have to open up to other teams as I’m sure AD will also start to get impatient. They will eventually have to act in their client’s best interest and not Lebrons. If Davis is dumb enough to get played like this (the Lakers shouldn’t even be his top destination from a basketball perspective), the longer this goes, the more AD will hear from other players who can get in his ear and smarten his arse up a little.

they aren't clients of Lebron James' agency either

and the returns are almost never great.

I agree and respect your opinion, I just think you are not being totally objective in this.

Its easy to be drawn in by the LAL hype machine.

And maybe he will attempt to force his way to LAL, and maybe that's what will happen.

I just do not believe that to be he case based on what we know so far, and what I think this team will do.

If AD joins the knicks, you've got to believe that the Knicks can draw a superstar to pair with him. Durant/Irving/Klay etc.

I'd go a step further and say if AD willingly joins the Knicks, it's because he knows directly that one of those dudes will join him in NYK.

they'd have better. people already don't care, add an uninspiring return and attendance/support of this franchise will reach dumpster fire levels. every time this franchise takes one step forward, 2008, 2015, and last spring, they take two or three back. Bonzi/being cheap with Chandler, firing Monty for Gentry, and now all of Dell's shite moves coming home to roost.

This organization still has to hold off until July to see if Boston gets into the sweepstakes. We need as many suitors as possible to drive up the pruce for AD. Ainge would be foolish not to try a move like the Raptors did with Kwahi, and hope the history amd probably success would woo AD. AD claims he wants to know as one of the best. Well if you win a title in Boston, you are a legend forever.

I am saying the interest now compared to what it will be in the summer is going to be night and day.
