I just think the question is, who is like to blink first?
The Pels who have no reason to blink, or
AD who does not want to spend another year with this franchise and is given the option of other winning situations.
Its AD.
They did this NOW to try and force their way at the deadline. Once that doesn't happen they will open it up to more teams this offseason.

well dude, he is a client of Lebron James' agency. They share the same agent. He's having fricking dinner with him after a game in LA. They are leaking that he wants to go to LAL. It's safe to say that is his preferred destination, and as long as that is public its going to hurt the pelicans

The packages will get worse this summer and the Pelicans will be left begging for prospects.
If it gets to this summer Davis will just say he is going to sign with the Lakers and the Lakers will offer only Ball and Ingram after they sign Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, or Klay Thompson.

Kawhi was coming off a season where he played like 2 games. He had a “serious” injury and a poor reputation as a teammate. These situations are apples and oranges.

AD has been injured for a shite ton of games here. he hasn't exactly been cal ripken for us.
i agree he isn't a malcontent but if you're rich paul and the lebron people, you spread the word that AD is going to LAL no matter what and Boston may still even be interested, we'll just get a worse deal

Even so, Do i need to explain the differences here? Toronto didn’t mortgage their future. Of course they’d trade Derozan for a year of Kahwi. The same way someone would trade Kevin love for a year of AD.
