I was just going to post that with a Jrue/Murray 1/2 then we will need a 3 with some length and defensive skill desperately.

We would definitely need to upgrade from QPon. QPon is on the verge of being undersized for a SF anyway. I'd want some one with a bit more wingspan/length that can swing between a SF and a small ball 4.

I honestly like all three of them. I recently convinced myself that I liked Hield more, because I felt like he would be the pick, but I can always convince myself that Murray is better if he ends up as the pick

I dont hate Murray. I think he has a decent career in this league ahead of him.

I think allstar is really unlikely.

People knock on Hield but Murray isnt getting longer, all that much bigger or gaining athleticism. I just think he is always going to struggle getting around players, being guarded by most SG's, playing defense and he isnt going to be a PG and if he is he will get abused.

Murray is the type of guy that I would be ecstatic grabbing if we had our core cemented and could be a 6th man spark plug.

Eh. He's still 19 and could certainly grow a little bit more. He does have huge feet. Just sayin

He kinda reminds me of Gordon from 2 years ago. I hope he ends up better than that (although Gordon was a decent role player that season).

Honestly, my only concern about Murray is one thing I haven't seen anyone bring up yet -- I don't like how he often times brings the ball down to almost his waist before shooting. I think that he will get his shot blocked in the NBA far more than he did in college until he fixes this.

But I love him and Bender. Take either of those guys and I am a happy man tonight

Ive been listening to a few podcasts driving earlier today and both mentioned they don't think Murray is even as big as his Nike or College team measurements. Probably a bit shorter and a bit shorter wingspan.

Which would put him at or under 6'4" with at or below 6'6"ish wingspan.

I do have a lot of faith in our shooting coaches. Probably more then any other aspect of our organization lol.

So I am not THAT worried about him hitting jumpers. More being able to do much if his jumper isnt falling.

I just have Murray a tier below Hield and Dunn so I would be disappointed getting him because I was almost certain we would get Hield or Dunn. Really didn't think Minny would want Hield given I am not sure how he fits still? Unless they are moving Lavine?

Smart teams draft the players they like best and figure the rest out later. Again, these guys wont actually be good for 3-4 years, so why draft with your current roster in mind when history says your roster will be so different in 3-4 years.

Also, you are talking about "positions" but again, I think smart teams think in terms of skill sets. Hield has a skill set they lack. Positions don't matter, except for when you give the program to the casual fan

Yup. So it looks like 100% that Dunn and Hield are gone.

So we will have the choice of one of Murray, Bender, or Brown.

100% agree. What do we know about Murray's work ethic?

League executives say that there continues to be a great effort by teams to move out of the mid-to-late first-round.

Prince/Valentine/Zizic will help keep AD more than a 2018/19 pick.

Murray's goal is to be the greatest of all time. He and his literally said this. And he works like he thinks he can achieve it. That alone means nothing. But that combined with his skill gets me wet.
