He gave props to AD being the best player in the league in 2 years ,but said the arena is run down and he hates New Orleans.

It is much better than it was before the renovations, but it is still ugly as sin on the outside. It will do for now but probably needs to be replaced at the end of the lease. I posted back in march on the saints talk, if Benson (or whomever the owner is) is willing to spend like what other NBA and NFL owners have recently and we get reasonable naming rights deals than the current hotel tax will provide the Saints and Pels will be able to spend $2billion in building new arenas and stadiums or massively renoavating the Dome.

Hey OP, I just went an listened to the podcast of Dari guest hosting for Cowherd. He did base his show around the NBA becoming a small market league this offseason. But I didn't hear anyone putting down the SKC or New Orleans.

Were you the one trolling us, or am I missing something?

e thinks NO should host the Superbowl in a rotation with Miami and few cities. I listen to his show regularly and yes he's not fan of us as a basketball city. But I wouldn't say he hates NO.

Well that directly contradicts his "new Orleans unjustly hosts too many big events take"

How was I trashing it? By stating that it is not the greatest arena on the planet? By saying that will probably need replacing in 2024 when the lease is up? It will be about 25 years old which is the standard shelf life for an arena these day.

I have been to the SKC probably 20-25 times in my life. Last time I went was at the end of the '13-'14 season. The interior renovations are great but the SKC is still just an average NBA arena on the inside. The outside was still the green tiles the last time I went to a game in the SKC. From looking at the pictures of the exterior paint job it was not much of an improvement IMO.

I'll wait for you to get to the arena, see the inside and then we can have a quality discussion. And the outside looks streets ahead compared to how it was prior.

Did you not see where I went to the arena in 2014 after the interior renovations were finished?

I was watching live when Dari thanks for his name mention what my title. He basically said what you said, but he also mentioned that he doesn't care for New Orleans and that Building is run down.

I literally have no idea what this means.

But anyway, if he doesn't care for New Orleans, that's fine. Not everyone's cup o' tea. But that's different than saying he "hates" New Orleans. And as far as the SKC being run down, i'm just going to assume he hasn't been to it since they began the new renovations.

I guess they edited this little snipet from the podcast.
