The bottom line is that Willie Green SUCKS as a coach
in the 4th quarter. How many game have the Pels lost this
season when leading most of the game.WG is the problem. The
Pels are going nowhere with him as coach.

The negativity comes from the repeated wasting of opportunity. No team was better positioned to make a jump to the top echelon than the Pelicans. The Thunder and Magic made huge jumps through coaching and internal improvement. The Wolves and Cavs made huge jumps by using their draft capital.
Kings are trending up as well, and have the assets to go get a 3rd star to go with Fox and Sabonis.
We've made huge jumps this year as well. OKC and the Wolves have obviously done really well, but neither of them have proven anything yet, nor has the Cavs or Magic, so we really are all in the same boat. The separation of those 5 teams will come with how they all do in the playoffs.
But i agree that i'm a bit irritated in what those other guys have been able to do and what we've done, despite having a ton of assets over the last 4 years.
We need a new GM, and we need a new coach if we want to be serious about contending in the next 5 years.
We are sitting in 6th place currently, with 45 wins and 8 games left. Last year 45 wins would have secured us 4th place in the conference. Think about that. 48 wins was good enough for 3rd place last year.
We will likely win 50 games this year, and likely finish 5th or 6th.
We are in 6th place in the West, yet there are only 6 teams in the league with a better record than us.

It’s weird seeing so many negative reactions to losing to the best team in the nba when we’re missing our 2nd best player and backup point guard.
A great number of posters on this board are simply prisoners of the moment. It is what it is.
