These guys play their heart out while Zion sits at the end of the bench “physically fine” watching us lose a play-in game to a team we dominate if he decides to “feel like Zion”.

If all the facts we have don't add up, it usually means we don't have all of the facts. The multiple leaks have regularly pointed to conditioning. I don't know if it's a weight metric, or some cardio fitness metric, but it sure seems like he wasn't where he needed to be to continue the ramp up.
I put that on both Zion and the training staff. Sure you can only lead a horse to water, but if he doesn't drink and everyone's success depends on that horse, you give that horse an IV.
I feel like the team threw this season away in a battle of wills they hope they win for a better tomorrow. Unfortunately what they fail to realize is they need to start stocking up on IVs instead of expecting the horse to start drinking.

An interesting and unknown variable was Zion's conditioning when he had his first setback. Could that have played a role in the hard-line position the team had on his current recovery?

Send the horse to the glue factory

There is a disconnect somewhere we don’t know of. In no universe is doing windmill dunks in the pregame of a playin game a smart move. Griffin should have gone apeshit upon hearing about it.

It just goes to show that Zion is a POS that does whatever the hell he feels like. He's been coddled his whole life because of those 360/windmill dunks. So he goes out there and does that because he thinks that is how he makes right by everyone. He's dumb AF and he's never been held accountable for the responsibility he holds.
