Imagine if Zion actually dieted through this recovery

He could have come into this moment ~10 lbs lighter and a little closer to playing shape, and instead he chose to gain 15-20 lbs during his three month vacation.
Great superstar the team has; he has about as much desire to win as Ben Simmons. Trade the bum to Brooklyn.

Zion seems to be a very athletic loser

Zion would rather be playing Pokémon or watching Anime instead of working on his body

quote:SO, you post BS on a message board and feel it is fact? There is no way for you to know if he gained any weight, let alone 15-20 pounds.

There is no one who goes from playing basketball professionally to not running regularly and loses 10 pounds.

Someone who gave a shite would. A professional would pay a dietitian and a chef to create a perfectly portioned menu designed for him to drop ~3-4 pounds per month while he was inactive, and followed it perfectly. The team would have likely even paid for and coordinated it all.
Instead, he rolls in like this after a few months of mountain dew and doritos. Shows you a lot about his priorities, and it's not being a good ball player.

People on here have very little common sense.

You are going to be shite on for this (and your other posts).
But, this is on the mark.
An unfortunate situation (injury) did have an upside. "Time" allows you to accomplish things that can't be done quickly. Dieting and lowering his weight was a way that he could have turned his downtime into a productive period.
Unfortunately he wasn't willing to do it. He wasn't even willing to maintain his weight.
He's only willing to stay in shape by playing basketball. Everything else is off the table (which apparently is full of a bunch of junk food.)

That's because most people paying basketball professionally aren't overweight.
You don't really think it's impossible for a professional basketball player to lose weight, do you?
