Ben Simmons is represented by Klutch and most people on this board don’t want him because they think he wouldn’t want to stay. When the LSU board says stay away from the LSU player instead of overrating him and trying to find ways to get him on the team, they must know something.

To be fair, LSU fans say stay away because the season he was there they didn't live up to expectations. Which wasn't completely his fault.

Simmons dates Kendall Jenner who is recruiting him to move to LA and has already attempted ex parte communications with the Lakers to hoop with Magic during the summer. That’s on top of being a Klutch client.

As talented as I think he is, I’m going to pass on bringing him to New Orleans.

Honestly his play makes me consider a knicks deal more and more depending on their pick with Knox and Robinson

I really don't get why people keep talking about Knox. He's had an absolutely horrendous rookie year. Robinson would be nice, but man, Knox doesn't look like an asset at all right now.

Ben Simmons is perhaps the best example of hive mind when it comes to LSU sports. People were absolutely furious that he quit on the team ahead of the NIT tournament, and this wasn't an "ok" practice yet. It quickly morphed into him "quitting on the team" and the team "underachieving because of Simmons' effort". That team was one of the worst coached teams I'd ever seen at LSU, and people started pointing the finger at Simmons instead of CJJ (they were, after all, stuck with CJJ the next season).

Then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy of sorts when Simmons wasn't overly kind to LSU in interviews a year later (though it wasn't really that negative either), and I've said this over on tRant, what do you expect him to say when 90% of the fanbase is shitting on him on social media? It's incredibly short sighted to me for a fan base to ostracize and alienate an MVP level talent that went to their school.

There are plenty of player evaluations tRant gets right. This is not one of them.

ETA: By the way, I'm not touching Ben Simmons with a 10 foot pole due to his affiliation to Klutch. You think they've been scorned bitches now? They'd ramp it up to 1000 to stick it to us. Simmons doesn't have that decision making in him to stand up to Klutch either.

I’ve only seen the comments people have made here and they been more of the “he won’t stay and wants a big market” variety, not he’s not good enough.

Oh if you read the Rant or comments on a Larry Leo post, they destroy Simmons' time at LSU. It's slowly crawling back the other way as people realize it benefits LSU nothing to be a dick to this guy.

And honestly right now, I'd put Simmons' decision making for his future in this order:

1) Klutch/Lebron
2) Kendall Jenner
3) Ben Simmons

Jaylen Brown v Jayson Tatum

Brown: Older, 1 year closer to end of rookie contract.

Stats, this year only:

Brown
13.0 PPG
46.3 FG%
34.2 3P%
1.3 APG
4.3 RPG
13.4 PER

Tatum
15.8 PPG
45.2 FG%
37.2 3P%
2.1 APG
6.1 RPG
15.1 PER

Tatum is better in virtually every statistical category and is younger and further away from his rookie contract ending.

Crewz just loves to play devil's advocate, but anyone taking Brown over Tatum has a screw loose.

The point is that at the beginning of the year many people were adamant that Tatum would not be included in an AD package because of how valuable he was and now its debatable whether Tatum as the centerpiece of a package is better than the #2 or #3 pick. And vast majority acknowledge Zion easily trumps a Tatum package.

You expect Irving to give anyone a firm answer or even know himself on June 20th?

Whoever trades for AD is going to have to do so without knowing how July will play out and they also won't get 100 percent assurance AD will stay more than one season.

But to get a guy that caliber, you gotta take that risk or someone else will and they you definitely won't get him

Of all the lottery teams. which teams do you think would be most likely to trade Zion for AD if they lucked out and got the #1 pick?

I don't disagree with that, but we've tumbled into Crewz being bored and trying to sway people for his own amusement that Brown is somehow better than Tatum, which even he doesn't believe.

NYK and LAL are the only ones that would realistically consider trading Zion for AD.

That is without question the Knicks of teams with a high percentage of actually landing it.

I'm yet to be convinced NY trades Zion for AD

Uh, lol. They will in an absolute heartbeat.

They are clearing 3 max salary spots for a reason.

NYK only trades Zion if it is for AD and Kyrie and/or KD. Essentially Kyrie and/or KD's camp would have to commit to NY and let them know they want AD.

The Knicks would do it I’m pretty sure. They’d drastically increase their odds of landing a superstar in FA and they know they have the second best shot of retaining Davis.

I still dont buy it. Zion will not be traded. He will be the most watched player in NBA and will increase any franchises net worth instantly. People are looking at this through pelican fan glasses.

What would you want as a knicks fan?
Zion and his future with that young team, likely not making the playoffs the first year or two, or......
Durant/Kyrie/AD, and being an instant title contender for a few years?
