I doubt we want Shumpert, I'm sure it's more like they want Tyreke and would have to send Shumpert back. If Demps didn't move Ryno for a trade exception and a 2018 pick I doubt he moves Tyreke for Shumpert and a 2022 pick.

Why would we want Shumpert? He is on the books for another season and a player option for an additional one.
The main team looking at Shumpert is the Mavs, who are probably sending out Deron Williams for him.

I don't think we would, but any potential deals between us and the Cavs, Shumpert is the most expendable player that makes a significant amount of money, so he's likely to be returned in a trade. If the Cavs asked if we'd do Shumpert and a 1st for Tyreke we said no thanks, that could easily be twisted through the rumor mill as the Pels being interested in Shumpert.

Shumpert? Almost like Dell is just anxious to make a trade no matter what trash he takes back. Why the hell can't we fire that incompetent fool before he throws away any more picks?

I wouldn't assume the worst here. Like I said, Shumpert is the obvious return piece which makes most Cleveland trades unworkable. Look at how the rumor was worded.
Cavs have had some talks with the Pels - seems to suggest the Cavs initiated the talks.
And are listening to offers for Shumpert - could be completely unrelated to their discussions with the Pels the way it's phrased.
Moving Shump "not likely" - they offered Shump and sweetener for someone like Tyreke and we told them no thanks.

Shump and Reke might be part of 3 way. Shump to f.e. Mavs, Reke to Cavs and Cedi Osman or 1/2 rounder to Pels. Maybe someone young or expiring and pick.
