I don’t think it’s going to stay red. The SKC had some roof leaking issues the past few years and I think the red is the new waterproof coating.
Why would they need to paint the white smoothie king logo on the waterproof coating then?

They’ve now started taking off what was shown on the first posts pic. They have added some kind of vertical stripes, which the way it was done makes me think they are showing 2 samples. As wbatver they are doing now, crosses into the words smoothie king, to where you can’t read it.

Its not red anymore. Someone on here mentioned the red was something for rust.
Eta:looks like the other side not facing my office is still red.

They didn't paint the logo over the red. They put the red around the logo because the logo is painted with special paint. I've watched this process for over a month now on my way to and from my office.

The outside is a bigger problem than the inside.

There is paint chipping on the interior cinder blocks.
I bet they are not wearing about that at the new Chase Center in a few years.

Probably just cleaning/repainting? Crazy to be proactive in Louisiana.

I would think crazy upgrades would require crazy ticket cost. When I go to an NFL or NBA game I am there for the actual game. Some of the items other arenas and stadiums have gotten into are just stupid.
I want it to be overall clean, clean bathrooms, solid concessions/catering, good sound, good video boards, and not an eyesore from outside. I don’t give a shite about most anything else regarding the arena.

Do y’all remember the rain delay we had last year? This is a coating to permanently fix the issue. The red is the first step in the water proofing process.

The red paint could just be the primer.
