If we managed to get Jack back, that would be a huge win for this team. Backup PG/SG is our biggest disaster right now. Adding a proven veteran leader like Jack would be a coup since we're handcuffed.

ESPN reports Heat offering two 1sts for Phoenix PG Goran Dragic. Would be a huge upgrade at Miami's weakest position.

Go to Miami Dragic. Another good player goes east and Phoenix trades him for future assets knocking them out of the playoff race.

So Denver is sending a 1st with McGee just to get rid of him?

The only time I've seen Pelicans tied to a trade this week is the pick we sent to Houston. Demps normally keeps things under wraps, but he may not be allowed to make major moves.

I know everyone on this board agrees that Fletch is always full of shite, but the Dell goes/Monty stays prediction actually fits what Zach Lowe said several months back, that the team liked Monty better than Demps.

Obviously losing a player of Dragic's caliber and getting nothing that helps this season hurts their chances, but I wouldn't say it knocks them out of the race just yet. I wonder if they will start Thomas and Bledsoe, or Bledsoe and Green?

They're blowing it up I think. Lots of reports yesterday about Ty Lawson demanding a trade and Boston trying to trade for him. Not sure if they're keeping Shaw or the GM. Both could get fired from what I read earlier in the year.

My thought exactly.

I think he's been told to win with the roster he has assembled.

If they don't make it, he's done, and hopefully Monty is as well.

The only other possibility is that none of the pieces they had fit Shaw's style so they are blowing it up and restarting. That would be a huge commitment to Shaw as the guy though. That's not the most likely scenario.

With their schedule getting more difficult it was going to be hard for them to make the playoffs anyway. If they lose Dragic (their best or second best player) and don't get back similar on court talent (unlikely) they aren't making the playoffs. Sadly for the Pels, it's going to be OKC taking that spot.

I still think there's a good chance Brook Lopez doesn't fit well.

Oklahoma City and Brooklyn are close to completing a trade centered on Brook Lopez and Reggie Jackson, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

As part of broader deal, Nets could send Jarrett Jack to Wizards and Kevin Garnett to Minnesota, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

If we're not making moves now (which I never really expected is to), then we better make a significant move on the offseason. Whether coach and/or player. This team we have with this coach will never be better than a 7 or 8 seed playoff team. Something has to change.

Haven't watched much of Lopez lately but if he wants to shoot jumpers then that'll mean they have 2 big men who would prefer to score from outside of the paint. May be some sort of clash there.
