Thats a stupid policy. I know coaches do it but its stupid, especially when you have the disparity between Davis and his back-up that we do. I'm not letting him off the hook for stupidity because it's the status quo.
It's fricked up logic. You are worried that a player MIGHT be forced to sit out so you volutarily ensure that he sits. The only thing that is going to be different when they finally put him in is that his potential minutes is lower.
How some people see any logic in sitting a player because of foul trouble baffles me.
