Gordon's inconsistency is maddening. 28 points on 13 shots tonight.

totally...totally his fault

My point is:

He's still playing like a spark plug(even when starting) and not doing anything to get others involved.

You're spot on.

I have to laugh every time I see that. It's not even worth arguing about

I'm mixed on EG at times

Sometimes he looks like a top 7 SG(like tonight)
Others he looks below average.

If he plays like this every night no one would complain but it's not the case.

I still get that everyone wants this to be true...there's just still not really any evidence for it

There is actually plenty of evidence that has been presented multiple times on this board.

Let's not forget the fact that Roberts doesn't play any defense at all.

With Reke/EG/AD we don't really need him to try to play hero ball like he fails at doing

again...19 points on 6-10 shooting in 28 minutes....frick that hero ball

One game. Let's forget all the other ones where he played like crap. I didn't even think Roberts supporters still existed.

your hypocrisy is frustrating....as a Tyreke fan, you should understand the importance of playing someone at their position/role.

...guys that can play multiple roles get paid a lot more than Roberts does....it's why Tyreke is frustrating for many...but you just have to look at tonight to see why Tyreke was worth a chance/a little more money, imo.

...a very rare characteristic for PGs/backup PGs in the NBA.

There is a difference in believing that Rivers should be getting more minutes over Roberts in order to develop his game vs thinking he is actually a better option than Roberts at running the show

Are people considering Rivers a pg at this point? How often has he played there this season?

Being able to somewhat control an offense, knock down an open 3, and make FTs consistently go a long way it seems.

Either way, being tasked to lead an offensively inept team like this is daunting for any PG.

Tyreke/YMCA are different

Tyreke has the talent/size to play 3 positions(and play well at all 3),Roberts has the mentality of a 2 but plays the 1.

If roberts actually just played the sharpshooting 2 role(kind of like morrow) I really wouldn't have an issue with him.

The guy just doesn't have the defense or the mindset to play the 1 effectively.

Tyreke has actively gotten others involved while still getting his points.

Rivers would be more effective starting because he actually plays defense(which is huge in the league we're in) and doesn't make the bonehead TOs/mistakes that roberts does when he runs the floor(look at how well he and reke play together)

Roberts could do whatever he wants in his sixth man role(and to his credit do it OK)
