Don’t like how they don’t say when CJ will return

You can't put a hard date on CJ's injury. It's one of those things where you'll need to wait and see how his body responds.

As far as Jose goes, it's window dressing on we'll get another update in two weeks.

Would you rather they just say two weeks every two weeks?

Re-evaluation at a later date is the new 2 weeks.

I’m just wishful thinking that he’ll only be out a few games because we are so lost without him particularly defensively

One hell of an ankle sprain for Jose. He's gonna go on like 3 months with it

Hopefully that update is "he's probable to play against xxxx team"

Maybe 1 of those 2 games against the Kings the week of Thanksgiving

Generally... doesn't a return to full practice almost immediately coincide with a return to game action?

ETA: he is already back doing on-court work

Are we sure it was Aaron Nelson because it sounds like the same thing wait 2 weeks to say he will be reevaluated in another two weeks Lol

I don't think Nelson ever had anything to do with these press releases. His issue was always his inability to get Zion to buy into his methods.

Unfortunately, the team refuses to shoot a straight shot. And we'll continue to get these vague arse updates.

He did re-injure it when he was starting return to play stuff a month or so back

So it's basically 2 injuries he's had to rehab from

Jose sprained his ankle on September 16th.
on September 28th they told us
quote:

Jose Alvarado sustained a right ankle sprain during an offseason workout and is expected to return to basketball activities in approximately 2-3 weeks.

I guess "basketball activities" meant he would be sitting on the bench with the team watching basketball games.

Here we are in the 7th week since he sprained his ankle and they think he might start practinging in 2 weeks?

What the frick kind of ankle sprain is this?
i don't care how bad you sprained your ankle, it should never take this long to recover. Either something else is going on with his ankle or this staff is just unbelievably over cautious.

He reinjured it just before the start of the season.

Cj’s injury ,if it is truly as was made public , is probably a legitimate 2 week injury to let the puncture heal itself . Unfortunately you can’t ask a player to tough out a known organ injury.

CJ is the last guy I would be worried about milking an injury if he can play he’s going to play

That was 5 weeks ago.
Again, it doesn't take 8 weeks to recover from an ankle sprain, i don't care what anyone else says. I've sprained my ankles playign basketball numerous times, and even had surgery on one of them in my late 30's. At no point did it ever come close to taking 8 weeks to recover.
