Not defending stan here, but how do you coach a defense this bad to get better when you hardly get any practice time? They hardly ever get to practice. Sure, you gotta figure it out at some point. But I just don’t see how you get around the obvious need for practice time with the young guys especially.
People want easy narratives and easy answers to shove blame onto, but this is very much part of it.
It’s a bad roster in a terrible situation anchored around young guys that aren’t there mentally on their defensive development.
At the same time, you look across the court and Finch has all those excuses he could rightfully use and more, and he’s blowing us out on our court.

I still blame Demps
In what universe was firing Monty Williams for Alvin Gentry a good move?
I know it’s a new regime and that’s ancient history at this point, but every year since then has been incredibly frustrating.

Starting to realize how Hart grabs so many rebounds.
He watches the rim to go chase rebounds, and leaves his man wide open for way too many threes, because he's late recovering back from rebound hunting.

Must be cool to coach against the Pelicans. You find one play that works and just call it a night. It'll work every time.

We all should be tired of these collapses . This is no leadership. Love hart but playing like dog shite so why is he spending so much time on floor. He looks like he has been in strip club for off week.

fricking trade him!! This is a pathetic game and last month from BI

This is embarrassing, had the same time this franchise deserve this for putting together a roster like this. I want the front office to suffer from this embarrassment. Hopefully they will learn at drafting better, assembling team, and get some assholes on this team. Sick of these passive arse nice guys.

They should be embarrassed by this one.

I haven’t played in over 20 years and I would be all world against these kids at guard. These kids are mentally weak, don’t work through screens. Lazy . I can see Zion getting tired of this BS.

There’s a difference between struggling to teach a scheme and a team allowing wide open layups and wide open 3’s every other time down the court.
Early in the season it looked like SVG was having us pack the paint and just live with guys making open 3’s. While that had its frustrations, ultimately is was working. The team was winning some games and playing strong defense in the paint. Now we can’t seem to stop anything. 3pt shot, mid range, layup, whatever they’re all wide open

Of all people to blame for this crap product on the floor tonight, you blame Demps?

Iso, wanna-be alpha scorer BI that plays little defense needs to die.
This is the single most important thing going forward. Ingram has really regressed into some terrible, old habits. His defense and defensive effort have been horrible and if I have to watch him wave off another screen I might lose it.
This is Zion's team. It will be Zion's team as long as he is on it. If we want that amount of time to be longer than 6 years, Ingram has to understand his role. He has to become a better defender and he has to play harder.

What we have here is a hard nosed defensive minded HC, with a roster of kids that don’t want to play defense

No, I’m not blaming Dell for tonight. Just the general frustration that this game brings up.

Thank god the NCAA tournament is coming up. Can’t wait to watch some guys look like they actually care what the outcome of the game is.

Zion looks PISSED. Dude didn’t even want to go in the huddle until one of the coaches talked to him. I would be pissed as him too. Guy shouldn’t care who gets traded at this point.

How do we start with 15-20 points in the first half and end up losing by 20+? This has happened in a lot of games, thats basically a 40 point swing

Hopefully we get lucky and land Cade Cunningham some how
