You didn't miss anything. I actually fell asleep in the 3rd it got so painful to watch. AD had 4 shots in the first half, EG took way too many quick jumpers and was 1-8 from the field at one point, Alex Len damn near had a double double at half. Overall, a shite the bed performance nationally televised.

Agreed. And he brought in perk in the 4th and he sparked things for a bit. I wish he would have done that in the 1st Q. The team was playing well for a while with Asik in. He should have kept rolling with perk at that point.

His lineups baffle me. I don't think Ajinca got in last night again.

Too much finger pointing on this team. AD calls out the effort. Gentry calls out the effort. At what point does one of them say it's on me let's fix it and move on.

The people holding on to hope that the playoffs are manageable aren't wrong but at this point they have to win .700 on the way out. The ESPN guys were talking about it at the end and criticizing Dell for letting Monty go and then said "what about this team makes you think they can start winning 2 out of 3 games if they can't even beat this Suns team"

The current 8 seed, Utah, is .440, that's a 36 win total over 82 games. We're early enough that the number should increase some once enough separation happens, but the original projections by many of 40-42 wins for the 8 seed seem high right now. ESPN is projecting Houston as the 8 seed with 38 wins. LINK To get to 38 wins the Pels need to play .550 ball over the next 56.

I love the pels but this team doesn't even deserve a playoff spot. They are undisciplined and lazy. I didn't expect much with gentry as a head coach but I did expect enthusiastic and exciting basketball and they just look disinterested

the schedule gets easier in the winter/spring, so hopefully they can make a push. but this was a manageable road trip, and the best they're going to do is 2-3, and they probably won't win tomorrow.

Gentry's getting closer and closer to totally losing his mind every game.

He almost blew up on Asik last night in the in the 4th. We gave up ANOTHER offensive rebound and Gentry was up ready to yank Asik before they even scored the 2nd chance points. Thats when Perk got in. And he didn't play too badly, actually showed emotion. He looks like he's running in quick sand, but maybe he should just play him more. He's been solid this year when he's out there and plays PnR D better than any of our bigs, including Davis.

At this point, the playoffs are just going to cost us significant draft position. Thus team is not winning a series against anyone. Tank [on]off

Tbh Monty should be here.. Not to say Gentry isn't a good coach. Monty was just getting started when those core guys came together. They finally made the playoffs in years last season and were trending north. For him to be moved was pre mature.
Gentry came in off a championship, playing music during practice. We were a team still grinding, trying to get on the level of playing music at practice.

There were a couple of posters screaming loudly last year that firing him wold be a big mistake. People went full retard when we got dominated by possibly the most dominant team in NBA history and broke out the torches, though. Not sure how one mediocre roster and 3 shitty ones earned Demps credibility over Monty, but Loomis fricked up, which is all he seems to do post-2009.

That all makes sense. So drop Demps and bring Monty back?

If they would have brought in a new GM, they could have kept Monty for one more season. It would have given the new GM time to get his bearings and plot the proper course. It would have given Monty one more year to show that he could keep the team improving.

Instead, they give a questionable GM an extension, then buy out a semi-successful coach. I didn't care about getting rid of Monty. But if you do it, go after someone better or at least a bigger splash kind of guy. There were several out there (Thibs and JVG). But instead they go with a re-thread that has had more struggles than successes. I was dubious and hopefully I'll still be proven wrong..

Are there any details about Demp's extension? Like how long is it?
