If Herro and Duncan shoot 4/22 Bam wouldn’t have had a 1 on 1.
Yes he would've because those two guys have more than enough data to say that they are still really good 3pt shooters even if they were having an off night.
We would've been retarded to leave them open if they were 4/22.

The Heat literally played 5 on 1 for the last 5 min once Zion re entered.
It was 5 on 1 for Zion even when Trey was in the game.
JRE was at least playing defense while not hitting shots and created some turnovers that we couldn't turn into points, Trey was getting cooked.
It's a shitty situation because JRE is a scrub, but so too is Trey right now.

The point is that teams can zone up and build the wall against Zion which really limits his ability to score and forces your lesser players to have to make plays.

Pretty telling that Trey is benched in favor of this lineup. Woof

May end up being a positive if it means Pels can sign him long term for a reasonable number .
Trey's biggest issue these last two years is that he has like a 4-5 game stretch where he is on fire followed by a 10-11 game stretch where he sucks.
He's a net negative across the board right now.

He's the problem in that he's our best player and there are very clear ways to gameplan out of a game, that's partly on Zion and partly on the fact that we have no shooter depth.
You have blamed every loss this season on Zion. I get you’re pissed hes not what you want him to be but these bash on Zion takes after every loss are silly. We’re on a back to back missing 2 starters and 2 key bench guys down the stretch but yeah this is Zions fault.

Maybe, but I think it's more telling on how this roster has zero shooting depth that we're clamoring for Trey to get crunch time minutes, when he has been a smelly a-hole for over a month.

And you have blamed Willie for every loss.
Head coaches and star players get the blame, more at 11.

Im still heated that bum Thomas Byrant got Jose ejected dude should have been kicked out immediately for leaving the bench area when the Naji Butler altercation first happened his was the only player on both teams to leave the bench.
Then his bitch arse want to swing at a dude over a foot smaller than him notice how he calmed down when big Val got there. If BI was there he would have for sure start swinging which is fortunate for us he wasn't at the game. So much respect for Naji and Jose that's how you step up when your star is getting hacked.

Because I blame Willie- its ok for you to blame Zion?
I blame Willie when warranted. I was upset that he used Nance down the stretch but this roster was also very depleted so I don’t think this is totally on Willie. I thought Willie was fantastic in rotations last game honestly and big reason we won.

Blaming Zion isn't warranted tonight?
Again, he was -23 which was worse on the team. He had 23 points on 22 shots.

WG needs to be called out for his bad coaching.
How many posters mentioned how the Heat simply built the wall to stop Zion.
That should mean we had dudes shooting open 3s all 4th quarter, which never happened
Our scheme and spacing was a complete shite show. I get we didn't have a shite ton of dudes, but you can still have a scheme that allows for open shots when Zion is drawing attention. Zion drew attention, but our scheme still didn't allow for open looks.
The amount of times we park some dude right in between Zion and the goal is insane. Just once I'd like some, anyone, to explain the logic in that. We did that over and over tonight. When we didn't, Zion was able to get to the rim. Admittedly, he was a bit odd and had a few rim out, but... process over results.

We have CJ, Trey, Hawkins, Ryan- who doesn’t even play. Herb is one of our best shooters. Naji and Jose shoot at a solid percentage. Zero shooting depth is an interesting take.

I felt like Trey definitely passed up some open 3's tonight. He was clearly timid.
We were also incredibly slow moving in all of our halfcourt sets.
That's on coaching.

Do you think this game would be remotely close without Zion? You think because he was a -23 we would be more competitive in this game without him? Do you actually believe that?

Yes, if you're bringing up Jose and Naji as part of your shooting depth, you're lacking shooting depth.

On the season, the Pels hit 12.1 3’s per game at 37.7%. The Heat hit12.4 3’s per game at 37.2%. Tonight, the Pels hit 7 3’s at 21.9% and the Heat hit 13 3’s at 44.8%. That is an 18 point difference at more than double the percentage. That is why the Heat won this game.
Then, you can factor in that the Heat shot 12 more free throws than the Pels and had 7 more points from the ft line despite being outscored in the paint 58-46. That is a 25 point deficit from the 3pt and ft line. But please, let’s continue to blame Zion.

You're not making any sense.
Where on earth did I say we would be better without Zion?
Just because I said he needs to be better doesn't mean I think we're better without him.
